Title: For my wife.
Review: I purchased this CD for my wife, because she is a huge fan of Barry Manilow, and this gives her another of his CD's to add to her collection, and she loves it. Thanks for more great music.

Title: Yes, Manilow's music can be magic
Review: This CD compilation has many of my favorite Manilow songs. As I stated in my review of "Greatest Hits" I, I was introduced to Barry Manilow's music as a teenager, and these selections are why I stayed such as an adult. "Could It Be Magic" is the first song; "I Write The Songs" is the next to last. I always appreciate hearing a skilled pianist, and Mr Manilow displays his pianist skills brilliantly in "Could It Be Magic" and "Jump, Shout Boogie", and his arrangement skills on "Could It Be Magic". Incorporating Chopin into a Pop Music song was brilliantly done! As a teen, I identified with the angst of the song "All The Time". Another thing could be said about instrument usage. Most arrangements don't make good usage of string instruments, such as violins; not so here. I think the last song, another early Manilow song, could have used some violins in the arrangement.You could say that "This One [review]'s For [all of] You" Manilow fans who feel Barry is unappreciated "All The Time". Go take a "Weekend In New England", you naysayers, and get over it, while the rest of us enjoy the "Beautiful Music" "Somewhere In The Night"!

Review: This is the second greatest CD from Barry Manilow, the first of course is Vol. 1. Boy...these songs sure brought back some wonderful memories, especially rollerskating to "Mandy" at the Skating Rink on the couples skate, omg...did I just say that? Lol!

Review: 商品購入の際には、1989年の『Greatest Hits Volume II』と混同しないよう注意されたい。いわゆるベスト盤ながら、新曲も3曲含まれ、ミート・ローフのカバー「Read 'Em and Weep」と、バリー自身が単独で作詞作曲した「Put a Quarter in the Jukebox」(視覚障害を持つ人気カントリー歌手、ロニー・ミルサップとのデュエット)、および「You're Lookin' Hot」が該当する。収録曲のほとんどは後年発売されたベスト盤に収録され、比較的入手は容易であるが、「Put a Quarter in the Jukebox」だけは本作及び本作の英国盤に相当する「Touch More Magic」にしか収録されておらず、現在では入手困難である（日本国内では正規に配信されていないはずである）。本作を購入する価値はそこにある。バリーの代表曲は他のベスト盤やGreatest Hitsに収録されており、本作単独では物足りないところはあるが、アップテンポな「Some Kind of Friend」やミュージカル『CATS』の代表曲「Memory」のカバーも収録され、バリー・マニロウの美声と軽やかな歌唱を堪能できる。
