"Lazarre-White masterfully portrays people of multiple races, old and young. He also delivers Cosby's reflections on family, grief, and faith with genuine introspection and without distracting from the tense plotlines...This is a gripping, timely tale—beautifully told."—AudioFile (Earphones Award winner)
The new novel from New York Times bestselling and Los Angeles Times Book Prize-winning author S. A. Cosby, "one of the most muscular, distinctive, grab-you-by-both-ears voices in American crime fiction.”—The Washington Post.
A Black sheriff. A serial killer.
A small town ready to combust.
Titus Crown is the first Black sheriff in the history of Charon County, Virginia. In recent decades, quiet Charon has had only two murders. But after years of working as an FBI agent, Titus knows better than anyone that while his hometown might seem like a land of moonshine, cornbread, and honeysuckle, secrets always fester under the surface.
Then a year to the day after Titus’s election, a school teacher is killed by a former student and the student is fatally shot by Titus’s deputies. As Titus investigates the shootings, he unearths terrible crimes and a serial killer who has been hiding in plain sight, haunting the dirt lanes and woodland clearings of Charon.
With the killer’s possible connections to a local church and the town’s harrowing history weighing on him, Titus projects confidence about closing the case while concealing a painful secret from his own past. At the same time, he also has to contend with a far-right group that wants to hold a parade in celebration of the town’s Confederate history.
Charon is Titus’s home and his heart. But where faith and violence meet, there will be a reckoning.
Powerful and unforgettable, All the Sinners Bleed confirms S. A. Cosby as “one of the most muscular, distinctive, grab-you-by-both-ears voices in American crime fiction” (The Washington Post).

Title: Thoughtful, A perfect novel for the times!
Review: All the Sinners Bleed is a timely, thoughtful, well written, well plotted and as good as crime novels get. Titus' character arc is incredible and the supporting characters are believable, especially the Crown family. The book will keep you guessing until the final chapters! The Goodreads community is 100% right about this being one of the best books of the year, and I have a new author to add to my list of favorites. 5/5 well earned stars!

Title: Good Story
Review: S.A Crosby has not failed me yet. This is the second book that i have read. I'm truly pleased with it. It was very descriptive. I like the historical background that it gave. Definitely a page turner. There were moments where i did get bored a little bit, but. It was mainly through the descriptions, but it was really like. Enticing trying to figure out who was who. But overall, it was great. Big ups to tide is because he did his thing. Yeah, it was great.

Title: Titus - a wonderfully developed character in a fantastic book
Review: That Cosby kept my interest is an understatement; thus it certainly was a page turner. Why? The writing was not impaired by confusing flashbacks, or unfinished scenes. The plot rocked with new events seemingly every few pages to create ongoing conflicts and stress for our main character, and on me the reader looking over his shoulder. Thatâs called âsuspenseâ! There were sub-plots, but they all fit together clearly. For example the preparations for the Fall Festival are mentioned throughout; this was good because it shows how difficult it is for a small law enforcement agency to deal with multiple issues simultaneously - which is realistic. The entire story with all plots and sub-plots were laid out in a straightforward, crystal clear narrative. The main character was fully developed in many ways, and wow - I cried with him and for him. The author writes with emotional power. I enjoy being apart of it like that, and that raises its value as a book to me. Of course, it helped that I connected strongly with many of his views, especially about churches, and religion generally. I guess it is not a series but I badly want to read more of Titus and his life and adventures. I have read all of Connelly's books multiple times and feel like I love Harry Bosch like a brother. Of all other law enforcement characters I have read, Titus is stealing my heart. For certain it is the best of 18 other mystery books I have read this year. A masterpiece for this genre. I give it a 97. (A+)

Title: The new black sheriff hunts a gruesome killer in his divided town.
Review: The sheriff of his sleepy Chesapeake Bay Virginia town desperately wants to bring a killer to justice. He is balancing persistent community racial fears, personal demons, family tension, etc. The author delves into these with amazing clarity. Descriptions of charactersâ emotions, motives, and thoughts are are expressed so well. My only qualms are the horrible ways some of the murders are done. Important in the psychology of the killer, but hard to stomach at times. The sheriff is to be admired for the honorable way he conducts his hunt, and how he deals with the townâs warring factions. The sinners here do indeed bleed. Great read.

Title: Graphic Thriller
Review: This was my first S.A. Cosby book. The storyline was good and kept my interest. The murder descriptions were very graphic and disturbing for me. I give it three stars due to the âsecretâ Titus keeping was an underlying theme but not as intense as it was intended. The relationship between father and sins was heartfelt and grief was an undertone. I would read another Cosby book.

Title: Great crime and psychological thriller read!
Review: I really enjoyed this book and the detail portrayed. Definitely some trigger warnings for child abuse, murder (adult and child), sexual assault, and racism. It had gruesome and gory details but that was necessary for storytelling. I wish the killer had a better ending because what he got was not good enough for me. I loved Titus Crown character and the intrapersonal conflicts he grappled with. I ended up feeling what he was feeling even though Iâm African American but I am not in law enforcement. 5/5 for me because overall it was a well rounded and complete story that kept me turning page after page!

Title: A must read!
Review: All The Sinners Bleed is a beautifully spun tale about a small town sheriff battling racism and the juxtaposition between modern life and the "old" south still hanging on to the confederacy. The action is non-stop and the author's words masterfully paint the picture of what it's like being Sherrif Titus Crown. The is a must-read!

Review: Another wonderful book from the super talented S.A. Cosby. It is a pretty heavy book as far as the subject and story of the book, but it is wonderfully written and well worth a read. From the great description of the locations, to the great characters, to the fantastic story that is being told, it all had me picturing how these all would look right away. The basics of the story is that it is about a Sheriff from Charon County Virginia who has to deal with a teacher being shot by a student at a school. It morphs into a story about a Serial Killer being on the loose and so much more. I don't want to spoil to much so I won't say to many more details, just that it is so well written and you should check it out. After I finished the last pages last night I was thinking about everything that went on in the book, but the main characters family, to his lady, to the cops that worked with him, to the nasty stuff that they are investigating (it goes much deeper than just a story about a Serial Killer or a teacher getting shot).I really would love a TV Show made about this book, even just a mini series of 8 episodes or so would do. It reminded me at times of Season 1 of True Detective (And to be honest, was closer to Season 1 than any of the other later seasons of that show), it really would make a wonderful show, I can already picture certain scenes when big things in the story happy and same goes for the locations and characters, I already have been thinking what they all would look like.Do yourself a favor and pick up this book, just be warned that it does touch on some very heavy and intense subject matter, so be ready and in the right mind frame. Yes it touches on intense/heavy elements but S.A. Cosby does it all so well and weaves his magic throughout the whole book and does this type of subject matter so very well.I enjoyed Blacktop Wasteland to and loved this book and have ordered his other stuff, give this extremely talented writer a chance and he will have you turning page after page late into the night, or like me the last few days as I got towards the end, reading while I was eating my dinner, while I was in the washroom and while I was in bed, superb book and I can't wait to see what this writer has in store for us for his next one.

Review: Having read and enjoyed the author's two previous works, I was somewhat disappointed with this book.Where those works were raw, authentic, and sincere, this offering feels contrived. This is typical of what you might find in any number of crime novels. He peppers the story with inane metaphors. The author feels to need to let the reader know when the sheriff is taking his hat and sunglasses off. Or putting them on. On one page, he puts them on twice in the same paragraph.A disappointment but I am confident this author still has some great stories to write.
