Title: Trammps CD
Review: Bubble bag shipping produced yet another broken CD Jewel Case. Bubble bags will not deter a crush. After replacement at my cost, I did get a CD in good condition with great music on it, and the front cover book is good conditon, with only a small tear in the bottom sheet from the crush. Price and service was good, but CD sellers should dump using bubble bags, and use a small protective box, as I do when I send CDs.

Title: Missing A Track
Review: Just a hunch, but Iâll bet a large portion of the people buying this CD are in it for The Trammps' monster disco hit, Disco Inferno. Donât get me wrong, the majority of the tracks are good and most belong, but there are several songs that are just, well, mediocre. Having been in the prime âdisco demographicâ in the mid 70âs, early 80âs a sufficient number of these tasty slices are recognizable club staples. However, thereâs one glaring omission. Their above average first hit, âStop and Thinkâ is missing. I had to Stop and Think of reasons why that might be. The only logical conclusions are A) The person who assembled the collection didnât think it worthy enough to include. B) Insufficient disc space (in which case there are enough mediocre songs included to dump one in favor of it.) Or C) A conflict with the ownerâs rights to the song, as it was on a smaller label prior to the bandâs signing with the industry giant Atlantic Records label. My guess? âCâ. But Iâd have to research that notion and quite frankly Iâm not going to bother since itâs a moot point. Itâs not as if Rhino will go back and reissue the disc to include that track, as good as it is. Btw, Rhino, you should have remastered this one. Not that the sound is bad, but a remastering would have really given the fidelity some modern-day punch! In the future, if I choose to dig deeper, Iâll revise the review. But, in spite of the flaws, itâs still a fine addition to any music collection.

Title: By far the best Disco era group of all time
Review: The Trammps should have been called the GREATS, because the band was tight and the lead singer has a very powerful and unusual voice.By far the best Disco era group of all time.

Review: The Trammps career was really in 3 phases. The first is common to many soul groups - popular locally but that's about it. Second phase was pre Saturday Night Fever and the third stage was the disco explosion that followed that film!Hits from that second phase inside Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart and Hold Back The Night - both hits in the UK as well as USA.At this time the Trammps were a very rhymic group but their close harmonies and orchestral arrangements were still steeped in the Sound of Phillidelphia!!As the 70s due to its last year's, Phillidelphia International, home of the O Jays, Three Degrees etc etc moved more into what became known as disco music!Saturday Night Fever propelled such music into the charts - some giving way to pretty poor Euro Disco like Boney M but some into more sophisticated music that you could dance to.Moving into that space was a natural progression for the Trammps and they hit big with Disco Inferno and That's Where The Happy People Go.This album nicely covers all the Trammps hits and some lesser known songs and is probably the most comprehensive Greatest Hits currently available for the group.Definitely worth buying!
