Stone Reeves was my neighbor, and I’ve hated him since sixth grade.
Gorgeous and charismatic, he became the town’s football god, while I became the town’s invisible girl.
He went to a Division 1 school for football, while my father was fired by his father.
His team won the National Championship, while my mother died the same day.
He was a first round pick for the NFL ...
… while I made the worst decision of my life.
Now I’m in Texas trying to pick up the pieces of my life.
But, Stone is here.
Stone is everywhere.
It doesn’t matter that disaster has struck my life again.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the one trying to console me.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the nation’s newest football obsession.
Because for me, he always has been and always will be my enemy.
** Enemies is a 100k enemies-to-lovers football romance standalone!

Title: if I could give it 10 stars I would
Review: First book Iâve read from this author and oh my goodness! I was hooked from the first page! The plot of this book was not the standard conjure cutter template. It had all the feels and I donât think Iâve cried so much reading a romance before. Dusty and Stone were written so well. I loved the progression of their story. Not the insta love thatâs seen so often but not exactly slow burn either. It was simply perfect.

Title: This grew on me big time
Review: You know, I wasnât sure I was loving this in the beginning. With a title like âEnemies,â I was expecting it to be intense from the start, with a slow build from hate to love. Thatâs really not how this story goes, and I am completely okay with that, because it is beautifully written. This is much more a story about grief and pushing past the things in life that have hurt you. Our hero doesnât enter the scene until about 20% of the way in, but once he does, I fell for this book - and him.The story follows Dusty, a college student who has just transferred to a new school following a mysterious âincidentâ back home. Sheâs sort of a social outcast, and finds herself living with the Mean Girls of the school in a party house, which is the opposite of what she was hoping for. The move is good for her in some ways, but she knows exactly one person in town... and hates him. Stone and Dusty were neighbors growing up, friends until middle school when things changed. Now the only thing Dusty feels for Stone is hate, and it doesnât help that heâs turned into a football superstar who doesnât seem to like her any more than she does him. As Dustyâs life continues to spiral out of control, her one anchor is the guy she swore sheâd hate forever. The writing style is so unique, flowing easily and reading very quickly. Itâs angsty and emotional with some heavy moments that are broken up by the chemistry and history between Stone and Dusty. My biggest complaint about the book - and it is kind of a big one - is that thereâs not enough Stone. 95% of the book is told from Dustyâs perspective, so Stoneâs feelings are left up to the readerâs interpretation. Itâs very much Dustyâs book, but Stone is really what made me love the story. My 5-star rating leaned towards a 4 at times because I just wanted MORE Stone, but ultimately the story was just too good not to give it the highest mark. Iâll definitely be reading more by this author in the future, because it was poignant, intense, and emotional with a relationship thatâs complex but still worth fighting for.

Title: Get The Kleenex!!!
Review: Wow!!! This was such an emotional read with wonderful characters and intense attraction! It was a story of making amends, resilience and finding a love you never expected.Dusty had her whole world ripped out from under her just as she was starting a new life. And the only one left to pick up the pieces, is the one person she hoped to never see again.Stone was her childhood best friend who completely abandoned her. Now heâs back in her life and heâs determined to stay there. The characters had great depth. Stone and Dusty were both stubborn, which lead to some epic showdowns. They were friends who became enemies and then tragedy brought them back together. Now itâs their second chance to make up for the past and build a new future together.I enjoyed the main characters, as well as the secondary ones. This was a well rounded story with a great deal of loss and heartache. I definitely felt Dustyâs pain, but I cheered for her as she fought her way through it. She was strong and resilient. She truly was a fighter. Stone was right there holding her up when she couldnât stand on her own and encouraging her to keep going and to go after what she wanted when she needed that extra push. It was also about letting other people in your heart and creating your circle of people who have your back. Stone was Dustyâs rock and her safe place. She was his everything. Their heat was undeniable and these two sizzled right off the page. Their connection grew with each obstacle they faced and eventually friendship and lust became forever love. I enjoyed this heart wrenching love story.

Title: Loved it!!
Review: I went into this book blind and I am glad I did. This book was a great read and it made me think so much. Sometimes you just need to allow someone to save you, and thatâs exactly what she did. He came back for her and she let him in. Oftentimes hatred is just love in denial. I highly recommend this novel.

Title: to anyone who cares about my little ole review ð
Review: You know those books that a lot of people LOVE so you decide to try it? Well I did, and by 50% I thought SURELY it would get better.. it didnât. But I was too invested by that point to DNF. Itâs fine. But I donât recommend. It was very chaotic and lacking good structure and story line. I love a good enemies to lovers, but this wasnât it.

Review: â He had no idea what I went through because I knew him, because the wrong person found out I knew him. I was here because of that sick and twisted someone. âThis is a warning friends, Iâm entering my Tijan Era and I may not leave. This story.. oh it hurt but it was so satisfying. All Dusty wants to do is fly under the radar and restart her life after living through tragedy but life isnât done kicking her while she is down.âI like you in other ways, too, but I want you fighting the most. I need you to fight again.âStone is a thorn in her side and the last thing she wants is to let him back into her life but she doesnât have a choice when she needs a safe space to recover.â âAll Iâm saying, maybe weâre not the enemies you like to think we are.âWhile I wish we got more of Stones POV, he was the perfect counterpart for Dusty. He helped her heal in ways that she didnât know that she needed. I have to give a shout out to Dustyâs roommates because they were less than welcoming but man did they turn it around quickly. I loved how protective they became her and how well the âfound familyâ trope fit into this story.â My people. My tribe. â
