Title: Eva is amazing, again and again
Review: Eva Cassidy is one of those people who managed to get discovered for great talent even without the help of American Idol. And I am so glad, because her voice remained so true, clear and wonderful that she produced this and a number of other really wonderful albums before her untimely death. She has the kind of voice that makes you realize that only a very select few of singers really (no, really) can sing. These are all covers, and just simply wonderful, unique, beautiful, fantastic music.I listen to her albums when I want something smooth, something sweet, something unique, and something great. It's not "easy listening", or "oldies"; it's great music redone in a new and uniquely fresh way.

Title: CLASSIC SONGSTRESS LOST TO SOON
Review: Can't believe I only found this artist so long after her death at an early age. Eva Cassidy has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard. Her way of delivering a song just envelops the listener. Her back ground story & road to being "discovered" is amazing & sad at the same time. I'm just glad numerous tracts of her performing survived & we get to hear this amazing artist.

Title: I just love this CD
Review: I just love this CD. I purchased two by Eva Cassidy and both met my expectations. This is very soothing music. Something you can play while at work, while at home or entertaining. I play it softly, as background music, when I have dinner guests, and someone always asks, "who is this singing?" It's gentle and kind of "folksy", but she does cover songs as well. The other CD I purchased was "The Best of Eva Cassidy" and I think if you are inclined to listen to this type of music, you won't be disappointed.

Title: The Unbelievable Voice of Eva Cassidy Yet Again
Review: It is difficult to overstate the impact of this voice; its purity, clarity, and beauty filtered through Eva's perfect sense of style is second to none. Although fully half of these tracks were studio recordings not intended for commercial release at the time they were recorded, the extraordinary quality of Eva's vocal interpretations and the playing of her close circle of back-up instrumentalists heard on this album ranks with her best. If you've never heard her, start here; you will soon find yourself purchasing "Time After Time," "Songbird," and "Imagine." If you're already a fan, you're in for a wonderful treat, for the keepers of Eva's Art have done themselves proud once again.

Title: Magical
Review: I haven't loved an album this much since Joni Mitchell's "Blue".I had never heard of Eva Cassidy until one night I tuned into the BBC world service on our local NPR station. They played a fragment of American Tune and I was haunted by its beauty - found Eva's name on Amazon and ordered the cd. Her vibrant and urgent singing is so immediate and real, her wonderful band - it all comes together so completely. The imperfections of the recording, a rehearsal tape - not balanced sometimes, some awkward phrasing -somehow only make the whole more precious. It's heartbreaking when you find out about Eva's death. What a sad, sad loss.

Review: My three favourite girl singers are Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn and Diana Krall . Now have to add another to that all-star list. Just magic in that voice and not a bad guitar player also..is with regret that she left us so early. Have five of her albums now and will definitely add any and all that I have missed.

Review: Sentir Eva cantare American Tune di Paul Simon o Yesterday dei Beatles è un esperienza mistica. Penso che non potrò mai perdonare Dio per averci tolto una voce come questa a soli 33 anni. Registrazione super. Consigliatissimo agli audiofili nostalgici.

Review: I first discovered Eva about 15 years ago with "Over the Rainbow"....fell in love with her voice....bought my first CD called "Songbird" which I have never ever tired of listening to and have bought many copies for family and friends who have been equally happy. I then added to my collection and the joy went on and on...... I thought that was it......I had heard all of Eva's songs.....but then I stumbled upon the song "American Tune" and it literally blew me away....brought me to tears. I was once again enraptured with her crystal, enchanting voice as she sung every single note with emotion and clear conviction. I listened to that song over and over then found to my joy that it was available on this album. I read a few reviews and decided to ignore the negative ones and just decide for myself. I am NOT disappointed even though there are 3 from previous albums (incl # 1...#5...#10). But it's ok!! #5 is a different arrangement: cool and laid back with great guitars accompaniment. #10, an old favourite, is a perfect way to finish this album because she does indeed take your breath away. I just can't find any more superlatives to describe how happy I am with this album .....ok, maybe a few more: intense, eclectic, fun #8, clever, poignant, controlled, mesmerising............enjoy :o)
