Title: Tremendous Collection
Review: I heard a version of the Fleetwood Mac tune Songbird (included) while watching a movie. Being intrigued, I scanned the credits, looked up the singer's work online and found that her life was cut tragically short, along her career. However, the producer, friend and bandmate put together a posthumous collection of great interpretations of both familiar and popular musical standards. This Eva Cassidy collection is the one to get as an introduction, every song is sung with more than a passing resemblance to the original recording, but with out 'over singing' she completely owns each song. The artist seems to have great range, but the emotive singing shines through on the entire collection. I would put this singers interpretive skill up against the best work of Dusty Springfield, Linda Ronstadt, or Emily Lou Harris.Much of the artists music has been released posthumously. if you can listen and not dwell on such a loss, you'll realize what you've gained. Great CD from a great artist.

Title: Nice Addition
Review: Eva Cassidy had a great singing voice which is on display in this work. It contains her doing many well known songs and is a very good listen. The album arrived in perfect condition. Only minor issue is that the compilation does not demonstrate her diverse singing as well as some of her other albums.

Review: Eva Cassidy was hands down one of the most unique, innovative and most beautiful singers out there. Breaks my heart that she was taken so young. This album brings all of her very best. You won`t be disappointed. This album and her. LIVE performance at the Blue Note are essential for any lover of folk and blues type music. The way Eva could take a song you know by heart and sing it in her own beautiful style will forever change how you know the song. Eva rivals the mighty Ella Fitgerald for the most beautiful version ever sung of Over the Rainbow. I hope you enjoy this album, it's a true must have for collectors everywhere!

Review: Pressing and sound reproduction is superb. Evaâs vocals are faithfully captured on this LP. And how angelic her voice is. She seems to impart a lot of emotion into her songs with little effort. As a listener I find it easy to listen to and I marvel at just how strong her voice is. The songs melt away an hour or thereabouts. The playlist is full of gems and each track as standalones deserve attention. I maybe donât have a particular favourite but Songbird is one which stands out as there are covers by other artists. Evaâs version is on a par with Fleetwood Macâs original where Christine McVie provided lead vocal. For a classical crossover take on this track some people may like to view the All Angels version on YouTube. There are other covers which are interesting. For example Fields of Gold by Sting and John Lennonâs Imagine are given due respect by Eva and it is probably a mark of her self confidence and ability to tackle and cover these songs. In the end Evaâs voice is haunting and her passing away at a relatively young age means that her songs provide her legacy. Hope that people enjoy her work.
