Title: It even made ME dance!
Review: I first heard the "King Kong" song back in '76, when I was about five years old. I finally got a copy of the album on CD. As my wife can affirm, I am not a dancer. She never heard of Jimmy Castor before. When I got the CD and put it in the machine, the gong sound brought it all back to me. I started shakin' and groovin' it; she thought I was possessed!Thank you, Jimmy!

Review: Received promptly a while back...I ordered this because the first time I heard the song "the bertha Butt sisters" I was on a fishing boat off the coast of Galveston...They use the song to entertain the guest while they are fishing...thank you.

Review: A DEFINITE purchase for any fans of the Jimmy Castor Bunch. The music is funky and reminds me of the times. I love THE Potential track but the CD is a compilation of SMASH hits. Musicianship at its' finest.

Review: 　50年代からドゥーワップで活動をはじめ、主に70年代にファンキーな曲を次々と出した 、エブリシング・マン （「よろず屋男＝マルチ・プレイヤー」）と呼ばれたジミー・キャスター率いるジミー・キャスター・バンチのレーベルを横断したベストで、90年代までのライノらしい編集です。　最初にヒットを出したこともあってコミカルな「リロイ」ネタのしゃべり＆インストの曲が数曲ありますが、最後に収録の50年代、ラテンR&B・インストの60年代を除けば、70年代の曲はひたすらファンク！ファンク！ファンク！で押し通します。JBよりは縦ノリのスッキリ目のファンクで、情け容赦のない同じリズムとリフが繰り返されると催眠効果というか催踊効果が出てきます。やたらとゴキゲンです。時にはアイズレー・ブラザーズばりにギター・ソロがウネウネしたり、カーティス・メイフィールドのスーパーフライ風味もあったりします。　日本でもコミック系の「キング・コング」が注目を浴びたりしたそうですが、日本でウケたコミック系ディスコ（ドラキュラとかフランケンシュタインとか）に比べるとファンクのリズム重視の姿勢がアメリカの叩き上げらしいなと思わせます。
