Title: Fun and great conversation starters
Review: I am a 34 year old woman and I throughly enjoyed reading these with our 10 year old daughter. It was like reliving my childhood in comic book form. Some of the topics were a little grown up for our daughter, but we had some great conversations about the story line and what the characters were experiencing.

Title: A fun, easy to read, relatable coming of age story about friendship
Review: This series is great for tweens and even younger trying to figure out the best way to navigate the changes of friendship we all go through at that age. I got this for my daughter and she enjoyed it and read it several times over a couple years and I decided to take a peek myself and ended up reading them all. These stories follow Shannon through middle school as she first feels the disappointment of a friend seeming to drift away and even worse - towards someone else. Then she is dealing with a mean girl. And just when she thinks she has it figured out and has a great group of friends she begins to wonder if she is being true to herself or wavering in order to fit in better.A good selection for any middle schooler. Anyone who is facing changes in the friendship dynamic, peer pressure, trying to learn the ever-changing social cues, or who just wants a fun read that is relatable.

Title: Not hardcover
Review: I purchased these books for an elementary library. Having hardcovers is important as they are more durable for the amount of circulation they receive. These are advertised as hardcover and they are not. They are paperback in what appears to be a study "hardcover" box. The books themselves are amazing and the students love them. Unfortunately I based this review on the false advertising of them being hardcover. Please consider changing the description.

Review: My 7 y/o daughter find it relatable especially the first book wherein the main character is young and somehow around her age. Also, the context and wording are appropriate for young kids.

Review: Bought this for my 9 y.o without expectations. Turned out there are numerous situations, thoughts, feelings and many scenarios in the books (especially the first 2 books) that my daughter lived through. Being excluded, receiving blunt comments, suffering from stress and anxiety brought on nausea and stomach aches like the main character. Thank you for writing these books, Shannon Hale. We can totally relate and we remind ourselves that people are mean because they don’t like themselves and/or have low self-esteem.
