A National and New York Times Bestseller!
The creators of Real Friends Shannon Hale and LeUyen Pham are back with a true story about popularity, first crushes, and finding your own path in the graphic novel, Best Friends.
Follow your heart. Find your people.
Sixth grade is supposed to be perfect. Shannon’s got a sure spot in the in-crowd called The Group, and her best friend is their leader, Jen, the most popular girl in school.
But the rules are always changing, and Shannon has to scramble to keep up. She never knows which TV shows are cool, what songs to listen to, and who she’s allowed to talk to. Who makes these rules, anyway? And does Shannon have to follow them?

Title: All 3 daughters loved it!
Review: I bought this for my 11 year-old daughter, but my teen daughters wanted to read it also. They all read and loved the first book in the series and loved this one just as much. The illustrations are cute and vibrant, and the wording is perfectly sized. I guess itâs time to purchase the 3rd book! 🙂

Title: Super Interesting And Fun Book!
Review: I absolutely LOVE this book. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. This book is the second book to Real Friends and that book was great too. Anyway, this book is a book that will never get old to read (at least for me) and definitely is an interesting book.I highly recommend buying this book even if it's on the easier side to read. For me it was easy to read so it only took me about 25 minutes to finish it but I don't know how long it would take a person to read this book if it was harder for them.Even though it was a short read for me I really enjoyed reading it. The genera of this book is a graphic novel and I love to read it for a fun short read.Overall this was a great book and I would definitely buy it for one of my friends or cousins who likes graphic novels.

Title: four stars
Review: Ok, so itâs a great book, but I still donât get one thing... in the first book, Shannon said the Jenny coolant be part of the group, and neither were Sarah and Emily... they never asked. But, in this book, Jennyâs in the group, Sarah and Emily, too, AND Jen is the leader again. Also, Kiki has just got to the school, so how did they have time to âfigure outâ Kiki was âcoolâ? But other than those, great book!

Title: Devoured
Review: My ten year and twelve year old daughters are huge fans of Shannon Hale's earlier novel Real Friends and when they heard that she had a sequel coming out, they begged me to order it. The day it arrived in the mail, they fought over who would get to read it first. Fortunately, the second reader didn't have to wait long. My ten year old devoured the graphic novel, reading it in a day. They both loved the story and the characters. The artwork is fabulous and LeUyen Pham rocked it again. There's nothing I love more than watching my kids get lost in a story and the combination of Hale and Pham continues to delight them. We will continue to buy whatever books they create.

Title: One Awesome Graphic Novel
Review: This was a great graphic novel. The middle school years are hard and figuring out how to fit in and keep friends etc...is at the top of all in this age range. Shannon Hale and Leuyen Pham do a great job of sharing the story of Shannon learning to navigate this time of life.Shannon has found herself in the "cool" group and she isn't sure how she got there and wondering if she will stay. It is hard to keep up with new trends, they seem to change daily, and now many of the girls talk about boys! Apparently you are supposed to talk about boys but not be their friends?! Shannon deals with anxiety about all the changing social rules as well as school itself. As the year progresses she begins to find her own voice and at the beginning of 7th grade she may just be on the path of finding true Best Friends.

Review: Best Friends was more interesting that Real Friends because it had more life like experiences for a nine year old reading it. It was fun reading how the characters got through Year 6.
