You could name scores of country artists whose catalogs go deeper than Glen Campbell's, but it would be next to impossible to name more than half a dozen singers who can match Campbell's countrypolitan best: "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Wichita Lineman," and "Galveston" (all late-'60s crossover hits) are as sonically gripping and emotionally powerful as popular music gets. That's thanks in part to their songwriter, Jimmy Webb, but just as significantly, it's due to Campbell's not-quite-manic croon and the dramatic, hook-laden production of Al DeLory. And Campbell had several more hits in nearly the same league, "Gentle on My Mind" and "Try a Little Kindness" being just two of the most obvious. Review: I really enjoy hearing all these songs by Glen Campbell. I wanted a single CD that had all the songs I wanted by him. I am so happy I bought this Great CD. Highly Recommended to all his fans that just want to hear his biggest and best remembered hit songs.

Review: The great Glen Campbell has so many wonderful songs and this album features some of my favorites. I find myself repeating tracks one thru four over and over again. His "Galveston" is certainly one of the best songs of that time and genre. I remember the video and see it in my mind each time I play it. It's a great story and a timeless one of a soldier gone off to war, afraid of dying, and thinking about the girl he left behind. I also love the way Glen puts his own acting into the lyrics and becomes the character he sings about. Case in point is "Wichita Lineman" and "Gentle on My Mind." catch the WAY Glen sings and you can see the man in the song. Great voice, wonderful guitarwork, a true American legend...je

Review: As soon as I received this CD, I listened to it and it was so great! I had the Best of Glen Campbell Album I bought in the 70's, but could not play it as it is packed in storage. This is wonderful and I have already listened to it 5 times in my car; makes the driving so nice.
