Title: So far so good
Review: I LOVE THIS CAM!My only complaint is having to buy new accessories like batteries, etc. Over all once the update went through (took forever) all was well with the product. You need to make sure the SD card is formatted before you install the update otherwise you'll be there for a while. Other than that the quality is far improved from my 9 so it's worth the ticket.

Title: So bad camera a lot issues with it
Review: The camera mount is not connecting with the camera and loses its charge in less than an hour. I have tried repeatedly to make the camera respond to it, but to no avail. The camera does not respond to the mount, which connects to the camera via a cable. Additionally, the cameraâs image quality is poor, especially in low-light scenes. I paid a lot of money to get high-quality footage, but it has been disappointing with this camera. Therefore, I will return it and purchase a product from another company.

Title: Amazing motion smoothing - akward to use mobile app
Review: The last go pro I had was 10 generations ago. It is weird that the form factor is so similar, but nice that I can use all the same mounting accessories.I like all the different digital lens modes, and the impressive hyper smoothing. I didn't expect digital smoothing to get so good. And I'm considering getting the macro lens option since that is really what I would like to use this for, as a B cam for documenting experiments. What I don't like is the app. It is annoying and non-intuitive. And it is always giving me upsell pop ups. As to non-intuitive, even just trimming a clip in the app is awkward - I don't know how it was possible to make the user interface so bad. And editing is non-intuitive, too. But people do it. Maybe I'm just too old and used to NLE editing systems from the past rather than social media editing apps. But CapCut, for example, I get, but not the GoPro App.Nice camera. Terrible app. Which makes the user experience sub-par for me, which is very disapointing.

Title: Worthy Upgrade
Review: Decently better battery life, new lens system. Both worthy upgrades. It may look similar on the outside (and may take the same quality video) but the features the 13 comes with make a worthy upgrade if you are on the fence.

Title: Amazing video quality but the camera gets very hot.
Review: The camera comes with big stickers saying you need to update the camera before you can use it. I visited the Gopro website and downloaded the update zip file. Then I unzipped it and copied it to the SD card I intended to use in camera. When the camera boots up it sees the update folder on the SD card and does the update. You can also update via the Gopro Quik App. We use Android on our phones and the Quik App had bad reviews on the play store, hence the update folder on the SD card method. The Quik App does have a good discount for the first year for new users. Once the camera has finished its update the Gopro menus are simple to navigate and accessing the settings was easy. There are plenty of youtube tutorials for all your usage questions. The video that this camera captures is of such high quality that we decided the best thing to do is just shoot everything in high quality video and grab our still photos from the video. This way we never miss getting a good photo. The Quik app is great for finding the right frame and zooming in on the subject and getting the perfect screen grab. The new batteries are 1900mAh and not compatible with older Gopro cameras. They have extra runtime but I think the extra battery power is being used to generate heat. This camera runs very very hot. Ok, if you're underwater or snow skiing but any warm environment without lots of air flow and heat is a problem. Maybe this problem will be solved in future firmware updates or maybe it's a hardware issue. Hence the reduction of one star in the rating. Our camera hasn't shut down from overheating because we turn it off and let it cool down. The protective cover we ordered would just make it hotter so we don't use it. Gopro subscription lets you swap out the camera if you have problems so we signed up for that. Overall a great camera but with a few teething problems, hopefully they get resolved sooner than later. When you think about just how amazing this technology is compared to 10 years ago it really is unbelievable what this camera can do.

Title: Go Pro Overheating
Review: Go pro was on 70% battery life and within a hour was already dead. Go Pro got super hot that I had to put it in front of the Air Conditioner. Anyone else have this problem?

Title: Overheated first use! So dissapointed
Review: I used this indoors for my first time. In room temperature settings, and I ended up having a shut off at eight minutes due to overheating. very disappointed, as I was super excited reading all the latest improvements, which was supposed to include no more overheating. We're getting too cold. so in the middle of a recording, it shut down due to heat. otherwise, I love that the interface is still the same so very user-friendly if you are a prior go pro. User of any older models. as long as I updated the gopro quick app, it was able to pair up my phone as the newest app has the newest hero thirteen. the resolution was of high quality for the videos I did record. i was able to use it very Easily without much instruction, due to the user settings.Staying pretty much the same with a few extra additives like GPS. it feels heavy duty and therefore is a bit heavier than my older models. love the front camera. love the fact that it has options to add other lenses. love that it is waterproof. only disappointment so far is the overheating issue once again. i am using the battery, it came with. it paired with my phone wonderfully and uploaded videos with no issues. arrived wonderfully packaged. this model is supposed to have an improved heat sensor to help deal with the overheating troubles of go pro.And so disappointed that nothing has changed.
