Review: Love the author and his stories. Have this as a gift. Unfortunately the print is extremely small and this is only available on one size. Not available as a Kindle book either. Difficult to read h less you have very good vision!!!

Review: I bought this for my granddaughter, but decided to read it before I gave it to her. Lovely stories and touching senerios about dogs. If you love dogs, you will love this book. I do love dogs and am always looking for reading that includes them. James Herriot story telling ability is full of color and puts me right there with them.

Title: Same old stories, but.....
Review: There's a wonderful introduction to this book, which is new writing by Herriot, in which he talks about his own dogs over the years. But, when the actual stories begin, there's Tricki Woo again..... Undoubtedly this book would delight a dog lover who has never read Herriot before. The dog book is much longer than his cat book, so expect more stories in this one. My used copy was worth it, simply because the Intro was a real pleasure. These "extra" Herriot books should be advertised with a disclaimer, so fans won't be buying stories they've already read.
