Few recordings maintain their power to utterly intoxicate for decades as Kind of Blue does. This 1959 all-time classic is one of the monuments of jazz: So What; Freddie Freeloader; Blue in Green; All Blues, and Flamenco Sketches. This vinyl release is the way to experience one of the greatest albums ever made.

Title: I consider this jazz album one of the big three
Review: Kind of Blue, My Favorite Things, Time Out (Miles, Coltrane, Brubeck).I own all three in hi res digital, but the original analogue tape transfers are more suited to vinyl, imho. This 180gram pressing is super quiet, really nice soundstage. Youâll get lost in this recording in short order. Iâm not impressed by the âclear vinylâ, makes absolutely no difference to me. But the blue colored pressing would be a better fit for this title, if thatâs your thingâ¦For me itâs all about the sound quality. Top notch.

Title: The Session That Changed Jazz
Review: Listening to Miles Davisâ Kind of Blue is listening to jazz history in the making. If you havenât really listened to jazz much, this is your gateway drug. This particular new pressing on 180 gram vinyl is flawless. I heard no surface noise and the soundstage was exact. The highs were clear, yet not edgy and the bass presence acted as a floor for the mids. Every instrument was clearly present on the soundstage.
