Title: Packed with a roaring vocal band!
Review: The Gaither Vocal Band has always been a family favorite Christian rock group. I say rock, because their fine instrumental and vocal arrangements ROCKS and they do it without removing the focal point of praises to the Most High. I have too many favorite songs on this two-CD compilation to list. But one that strikes my heart is: A Brand New Song to Sing (track #8). This song reminds me of the stunning string section of Pink Floyd in their many song recordings. Unlike Pink Floyd's lyrical contents, The Gaither Vocal Band vocally crystalizes the messages of the Lord and in return permeates the room with their (many) fine vocal ranges in praises to the Lord. Don't miss this double compact disc (compilation). It is awesome!

Title: If you like Gospel and Country Harmonies that border on Opera... these are your guys.
Review: Even groups like the Oakridge boys play tribute to this incredibly gifted ensemble. They have done renditions of non-gospel songs that I have yet to hear topped by anyone else. If you've listened to the Star Bangled Banner... and tell yourself, "oh no...here we go again... " I say give this group their due and stay awhile. It's worth while.

Review: I am so glad I purchased this CD. I love the new vocal band with its 5 members, but it is always good to hear what the band sounded like in the beginnings. David Phelps' accapella arrangement of "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go" is beautiful and shows David Phelps' skill as an arranger as well as an exceptional singer.There were several songs that I had never heard before, but were just beautiful. I am so thrilled with this CD and I have played it several times.

It will be a national.............no a world day of mourning when these saints (I know we have already lost Ruth) go home, but oh Lord, how I wish I could be with them at the rapture so I will not have to wait any longer to meet these dear saints.

Review: At first the cd stuck on a couple of songs, but after cleaning it, it was ok, I totally love this cd and play it all the time. The Gaithers, have wonderful harmonies and are truly one of the best gospel bands I've heard, when I can I will definitely be buying more of their cd's. Thanks

Review: Gaither Vocal BandはGaitherさんを中心として、他数名を入れ替えながら現在も活動されているゴスペル・ボーカル・グループです。彼らの音楽はサザン・ゴスペルというジャンルであり、日本人が連想するゴスペルとやや違い、美しい旋律を明るく爽やかに歌うものが多いです。R&B的なゴスペルと違って伴奏がハードではなく、多分にアコースティックであるため耳に優しく感じられます。ボーカル・グループというと、国内外共に打ち込みのビートを効かせたものが多いため、そうしたものでは満足できず歌声そのものの魅力をより楽しみたい方にはうってつけと言えるでしょう。特徴は何と言っても個々の歌唱力とハーモニーの美しさです。中でもDavid Phelpsさんの声は印象的で、ソロデビューもされています。局所で聴かせるハーモニーも、まるでオルガンのような響きです。残念ながら日本ではこのような歌手をほとんど耳にすることがありません。ゴスペルというと宗教色が強いものと思われるかもしれませんが、キリスト教の何たるかも知らない私も彼らの熱さには感動するばかりです。ゴスペル好きの方はもちろん、純粋に素晴らしいボーカル・アンサンブルを聴きたい方、ぜひ聴いてみてください。
