Kool and the Gang's charming, sophisticated yet populist R&B hits from the 1980s are captured here in fine, music video form, though the full story of their power as a live act is best represented on the DVD Kool and the Gang: Live from House of Blues. This collection finds the fascinating video for "Cherish," both a romantic and philosophical song suggestively set in a Utopian afterlife on a beach. "Joanna," possibly the sweetest music video ever, finds the group gracefully serenading a middle-aged waitress as she recalls tender years of being wooed in the 1950s. "Let's Go Dancing (Ooh, La, La, La)" is a funky, fun tale of a street party, while the dance groove "Get Down on It" offers early-'80s video fun with overlapping images. Finally, "Celebration" remains an optimistic, upbeat dance anthem and the closest we get to an actual stage performance by the Gang. --Tom Keogh

Title: A must have!
Review: I love the product. Of course, because it's only a few songs, I didn't feel I payed a lot for it :). The sound is great! And for me who is born in 1973 and have only heard the band occasionally on the radio(nowadays - no radio for me - except my huge cd collection)and the songs sticked to my mind. And you just have to SEE what they sing about.I have to say I am immigrant in Norway, and so when I hear the song 'Cherish' I feel those people here need it badly. It's known by mostly people ages 25 and up that people here look down at others(which tires me a lot). But, it may be everywhere, but I feel if we cherish the life we live and have, we will cherish it with others. And yes theres always reason for celebration. So the songs are uplifting fitting not only gloomy Scandinavia, but anywhere. A song can have powerful impact on people. In Cherish it's whites and blacks walking on the beach sands. There are only few songs in the DVD, but KATG have been a major hit band in the 80's and no suprise for that. It's pop, but some pop songs are with us forever, if the lyrics are not as simple. Which is true in KATG's case. No, it's not simple music. but because it is only a few songs. It's easy to tune into and i would personally recommend you to buy it. I have bought another DVD by this company. Tears for Fears. Buying a few songs also is a good prelude to other DVD's by the same band. For me, because i got this DVD, I will buy other DVD's with KATG. But, Best of means you can introduce the band to others who won't get tired of itWell go and buy it. you all can. it's inexpensive, and I know I am satisfied by this DVD to yet find another by the company. In short, it's a '5 star for this DVD!

Title: Five stars these guys are the greatest!!!
Review: My favorite music video&song from off this music video DVD is the music video tittled I know you're out there somewhere. Yeah that song really takes me back to my younger days of sweet blissful childhood innocence. But I also like the song&music video known as In your wildest dreams too as well.

Title: Great videos and music...
Review: Just what I expected - really different videos that I liked (especially The Other Side of Life) with of course, great music to back them up. They have always managed to peak my interest with what they'll do next. The Moodys have always been an outstanding group, particularly fond of Justin's beautiful voice...and body. 😉

Title: Sad Summer....
Review: Well, what can I say. We know that Donna Summer is the 'Greatest Hits' diva on cd's in the last decade. This dvd is a poor try to achieve the same with her videoclip career. Only five (yes, it's a complete dvd single) clips are collected here and nothing more. It's a must have for Donna fans because there is nothing more to find on dvd than the 'Live And More Encore!' concert. That's the only reason. I know fans like me are waiting for a complete videoclip collection on dvd like 'Endless Summer' with the clips we're still missing everywhere like 'The Woman In Me' etc. Of course with clips 'Melody Of Love' and 'I Will Go With You' included. That would be the perfect collection! This is only a give-away, nothing special. Further it still sad not to have any visual stuff from Donna's supreme disco days. She did quite some wonderful performances and tv shows so there must be something left in the vaults to make a dvd which would do Donna Summer justice. This is a sad summer indeed...

Title: The Moody Blues video collection
Review: A very enjoyable, if too short, compilation of Moody Blues music videos. The first two, 'Your Wildest Dreams' and 'I Know You're Out There Somewhere', which offer a juxtaposition of the band's early days (young actors are playing their parts) and their present reality (1986/88), were the only ones scripted by the Moodies themselves, and 'Your Wildest Dreams' was nominated 'Video of the year' by Billboard magazine in 1986.'The Other Side Of Life' presents a disturbing view of a surreal, nightmarish underworld, and effectively supports a brilliant song.'No More Lies' combines clever animation with shots of the band members.'Running Out Of Love' is an upbeat, exciting and very sexy clip from an actual concert.I hope more Moody Blues videos make it to the DVD format in the future.

Title: A Great Group
Review: A few great tunes from a classic band from the 60's. If you like the "Moodies" you'll enjoy this , even though there are only a few songs in this particular collection.
