Title: Great value and works well.
Review: I bought one of these for my mother a while back. She has shoulder and neck issues. She said it was working well for her. I used it a couple times when I was visiting for a week and decided I needed one for myself. So happy to have one in my house. Great on lower back pain and I run my calves through it as well after a long hike. Heating element is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Review: I don't use this often anymore. I needed it for the incredible tension in my shoulders. I used it several times a day for several weeks. I had a muscle where the scapula is with a huge knot in it like cement. At first it was painful to use and the roller balls could barely remedy the knot. I pushed the button for clockwise and turned the knead up to high and was able to get it out. The rollers have three different sized balls on it. You will find that the direction the rollers go in offer different kneading effects. It can offer the squeeze effect and regular swedish depending on the direction. Intensity can be felt as you change it. The heat is felt nicely. Not too warm just enough. Don't be deterred by the cord you need it so that it doesn't lose strength as you use it. I just bought a longer extension cord to use it where I wanted it and it was worth buying the longer extension cord. Sometimes I could prop it on the chair so I didn't need to use my arms as weight. I used up and down my spine area and it worked well. I used it on my lower back. I propped my calf on it to get tightness out after a workout.Get creative with the way you position it for maximum use.

Title: In love with this little machine
Review: I bought this on the recommendation of my PT. It is a wonderful, well built machine for releasing tense muscles. Works much, much better than those vibrating ones. It is very intense but you can lighten it up by not pressing as hard with it. I love the fact I can control the pressure unlike with a PT visit. One of the things I am currently using it for is for painful adhesions and trigger points in my legs and hips due to multiple surgeries. Using the book "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" I bought here on Amazon, I am making great progress in breaking down the adhesions and massaging out the painful trigger points. It basically does the same thing a therapist would do with their thumbs but you don't have to go to appointments and can do it whenever you want. I don't want to ever be without one of these again.

Review: This is the third of this type of back massager I've bought, and this one is by far the best, but it's problems still show up.So, pros? It is very comfortable, and works well, applying good pressure, without pain. others I've bought HURT with how they dig into you. This one does not, and even at high pressure, is comfortable.The heat feels great, and can be turned off. Others I've used either didn't offer much heat, or nearly burned you. This gets hot, but it won't burn you.Unlike the others I've bought, I have never had an issue with this one over heating or locking up, and shutting off. No, it runs its full cycle. By not overheating, I'm inclined to assume the motor in it is actually well made, and by not locking up, it makes it a better choice for bigger people.So, what are the cons that cost it two stars?First, the backing that covers the rollers? One constant experience I've had with these kinds of massagers is they ALWAYS tear. Once they start to tear, there is no fixing it. I've had this for three months, and mine has torn. One roller is completely exposed. No fixing it.Second, the exposed roller, by coincidence, seems to have broken something in it's gearing. Clockwise, it works fine. Counterclockwise, and it starts grinding. I could ignore this if I could just tell the massager to not alternate directions when in use, but you can't. It has a cycle, and you can't alter it. When it alternates, I have to reach for the button to switch it back while listening to the grinding and being worried every second it is like that, the motor might be further damaged.As my issues are not product defects, but just come from use, I doubt I could qualify for a return or refund, but the fact that I didn't get 3 months out of the thing really bugs me.As it stands, when I want another of this style massager, I'll likely buy this again.... but I'll do it knowing I'm throwing money at a product I'll be throwing in the trash inside of 6 months.
