Brynn Nichols is an enigma wrapped up in a riddle I can’t decipher.

She’s my best friend’s twin sister, the only girl immune to my charms. Far too wholesome for a player like me.

Getting under her skin is my favorite pastime. And it’s not hard to do considering how much she hates me.

But when football and summer classes take us to the same college, her brother makes me promise to watch over her. Keep an eye on her since he can’t.

I try to resist her, I really do.

She’s off-limits.

Too good for me.

There are a million reasons acting on my attraction toward her is wrong.

But her biting remarks and constant scowls aren’t enough to keep me at bay. Especially when her psycho roommate leaves her in need of a place to stay.

Inviting her to bunk with me for the summer is the worst possible idea.

But I never said I was smart.

Several kisses and one heated encounter later, I’m in over my head.

If her brother finds out about us, he’ll kill me.

So, we agree to keep it quiet.

But there are demons lurking behind her smooth skin, soft lips, and long blonde hair. Reasons for her ire I don’t know about. And when I discover the truth, the lines between loyalty, love, and friendship are drawn.

Now I’m so far away from the line, I can’t even see it anymore.

And with the way I’m feeling, I’m not sure I want to.

Title: Sweet YA romance
Review: This was a sweet romance story. I docked it 1 star bc it was a bit repetitive. I like that the romance scenes weren't overly grafic but still a bit spicy. Over all, a great read.

Title: Jace & Cupcake 🧁
Review: First off I have to say I enjoy Gracie Grahms books. She’s a great author and keeps story lines interesting without giving away too much. Yet sometimes as a reader I’d appreciate more detail. This book is one of those examples.Overall I’d give this book a 3-3.5 rating. At first I felt like it was a 4-5 star easily yet there are some blips in the story that brought it down.In the beginning it’s all about Brynn - Teagans twin sister is moving into college over the summer and Jace, Teagans best friend and Brynn’s mortal enemy just happen to be attending the same university at the same time and oh emm gee to these two have red hot banter! Brynn is so quick with her wit that you get whip lash. She’s so funny and I loved that she didn’t go below the belt to get her point across. She’s just permanentlyannoyed by all things Jace - especially his perfect physique, chiseled face and his womanizing ways. No one knows the reason why she despises him so much. From the previous books in this series i thought maybe something happened between them in the past and she was resentful bc it didn’t work out or he blew her off etc. Because the author describes her as beautiful, girl next door blonde who keeps to herself and studies mostly. Then Teagan, her twin- is attending a rival B1G school (which I love how the author changed the names of the universities for the books sake 😂 I knew exactly which ones she meant since I live in the Midwest and am a huge Big Ten football fan) that being said her brother contacts Jace and asks him to watch out for Brynn. Keep an eye on her. Make sure she doesn’t have any trouble because “something” happened to her in HS and he wants to make sure she’s safe. Brynn hints about an issue from her past as well and is looking forward to the college experience to finally feel free, meet friends and have a boyfriend since she’s never had one. Jace is happy to help his bestie and agrees to watch out for her even though she seemingly hates him and he’s busy with football practice and classes he’s taking in the summer. These two have major chemistry and seem to deny it to themselves yet can’t fight the draw to each other - love that. Jace is so hot 🥵 so protective and quite the gentleman with Brynn who he calls cupcake. Here’s what I didn’t like: that we knew something happened to her in HS, it takes so long to find out what it was and to be honest it was awful but the author didn’t go into much detail. Did she get raped or was it a close call? I don’t think she was raped. However, this girl chose to stay scared, stay away from her brother & all his friends and never tell her own parents what happened to her. Whoever did this could’ve done it to someone else but she stayed clammed up. She did eventually tell Teagan. Who you think would do some investigating and include at least one friend like Jace to help find who did this to his sister. She even kept something the pervert dropped during the assault yet never did anything about it. What really grinds me is that this was someone she ends up knowing and when everyone finds out who he is, the author leaves out WHY he targeted Brynn!!! Why her???? Why someone who is friends with her brother?? It’s so confusing! And the reason she hated Jace for so long was one big misunderstanding. He is so protective of her and what he does to the person who assaulted Brynn is exhilarating. But I want answers about the predator. Now the ending and prologue are extremely disappointing and that’s what brought the rating down big time. It was boring, who wants to read about an entire football play??? No meat at all. And btw once you learn about Jace and how he’s alone most of the time then she leaves him alone at the last chapter is just stupid. Her boyfriend should have been the priority over her new roommate. All in all this is a great read. I was hoping for a hint about Teagan. I sure hope there is so much more to the story about Brynn and the one who assaulted her. We need some closure.

Review: Having read all the other books in this series, I was itching to get into this next one. There were a few parts that had me a little apprehensive about how they’d be handled, and I have to say that Graham nailed it. The characters were engaging, and relatable, and it was just a beautifully told story that allowed you to sit along with the two of them, cheering them on and hoping for that perfect happy ending for them both. I adored Brynn and Jace, and I loved the way they came together. Their backstories, their history and just all of it was done to a tee. Highly recommended for all those who love a good romance, even with the harder hitting topics involved!
