In this New York Times bestseller, follow the author of The Notebook as he travels the world with his brother learning about faith, loss, connection, and hope.
As moving as his bestselling works of fiction, Nicholas Sparks's unique memoir, written with his brother, chronicles the life-affirming journey of two brothers bound by memories, both humorous and tragic. In January 2003, Nicholas Sparks and his brother, Micah, set off on a three-week trip around the globe. It was to mark a milestone in their lives, for at thirty-seven and thirty-eight respectively, they were now the only surviving members of their family.
Against the backdrop of the wonders of the world and often overtaken by their feelings, daredevil Micah and the more serious, introspective Nicholas recalled their rambunctious childhood adventures and the tragedies that tested their faith. And in the process, they discovered startling truths about loss, love, and hope.
Narrated with irrepressible humor and rare candor, and including personal photos, Three Weeks with My Brother reminds us to embrace life with all its uncertainties . . . and most of all, to cherish the joyful times, both small and momentous, and the wonderful people who make them possible.

Title: exceptional. as always
Review: This book is a delightful reminder of family interactions and the importance of making every day count. So much of what we teach our children came from our parents. Life is precious. Live each day as though it might be your last.

Title: A surprisingly wonderful book
Review: I always buy every book Nicholas Sparks writes. So buying this book was a no-brainer. But reading the book wasnât a waste of my time like I imagined it would be. I thought I knew Nicholas Sparks but I only knew the basics. Now I feel like I know the man, not just the author but the human being he is. He not only writes terrific books, but he is a wonderful human being. Like many, his life wasnât easy, and he has suffered loses, which is why the sincere feelings he writes about come across as real in his characters. Iâm very happy I read this book and can very truthfully recommend you read it too. Again, with any book written by Mr. sparks, be prepared to reach for the tissues.

Title: Love this book
Review: Loved the trip! Love the family story. In many ways it reminded me of my own growing up life starting with losing my father at a very young age along with several family deaths over just a few years. The strength shown along with a spiritual sense brought me home.

Title: Very interesting book
Review: There is much research that went into this book. I really liked the way the brothers helped each other to grow by pointing out some of their faults. Their family life growing up was very interesting and not too different from many families of that time period. It was very enlightening how it showed later in their lives the way they treated their children.

Title: New Appreciation for Sparks
Review: More of an autobiography than a novel, I found myself more absorbed in the lives of Nicholas, Micah and Dana. Some of the trip details were interesting but all of the biographical parts touched me. I am a new reader to the books Sparks has written and found it enlightening to see when his first books were written in relation to his life events. I am truly sorry he had such tragedies in life but know without a doubt that everyone he lost is extremely proud of him. Thank you Mr Sparks, for sharing your life with us. God bless you.
