The movie takes place in-between the 3rd and 4th seasons.Plus it's the first (and only time i think), we see Tracy's mum. This DVD is the uncut edition too, we know this as when Hayley is talking to the policeman, on learning that he cannot have babies, she utters the phrase "Life's a b*tch" while when the film is shown on TV that part if missing sometimes.

Review: This is a fantastic series for young girls and also for boys. It is the story of a 10 year old girl who lives in an orphanage. It is funny and sad at the same time. Good values. However, no subtitles. Your child's level of English must be very good to understand.

Review: Tracy Beaker is a little girl in care who dreams that one day her famous actress mum will drive down from Hollywood in a pink limousine to pick her up from the carehome in which she lives. This boxset follows Tracy's life in a hilarious dramatic TV show. It also includes The movie of Tracy Beaker which is fabulous. It stars Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker, who also is seen in popular TV show, Dani's House. In the first series, Tracy is let down with a bump from her foster parents who are going to have a baby and feel she is not suitable for their care. She is dragged back screaming to her carehome, only to find that her best friend Louise has gone off with Justine Littlwood, who has taken her bedroom.Tracy goes off, possibly scared of what will happen when some finds out she has broken Justine's clock. On the streets she meets Ben, another runaway, and tthey become good friends. The rest of series one goes on showing Tracy doing things like: eating a worm, ordering three tier chocolate cakes for her birthday, and giving her social worker the wrong time for parent's evening. The box set shows many of Tracy's antics, like begging a writer, Cam, to foster her, and then burning down Cam's flat! The Story of Tracy Beaker is superbly acted, hilariously funny, and dramatic too. I'd reccomend it for 8 year old girls and up.

Review: Found this the most economical way to buy the most Tracy Beaker DVD's. Great stories, lots of fun, and shows how tough life is for some kids, but how they make the best of it. The 'Dumping Ground' which refers to the childrens' home, is helpful for adults too, who may feel 'dumped' by situations in life. Stand back and see yourself and your emotions acted out by children, and take courage from them - if they coped, so can you.
