Review: Such a beautiful heartwarming story that was amazingly beautiful,This story was written in a way that made it feel so special and meaningful and I love it!This audiobook was narrated by the very talented and phenomenal narrators Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin , these two brought this angsty hilarious emotional story to life, their storytelling was so raw with emotions as they showcase every emotional moment of this book.They are both perfection!“Doing the hard stuff when you don’t want to is going to make you the best version of yourself “Ok let’s get into this ..This is truly an emotional angsty story one that highlights how each person deals with their own emotions of grief and loss.These two characters Burke and Charlotte are both no strangers to grief, they each have their own unique personalities but they each grieve and process differently their loss of love ones .BurkeThe former football player who had lost so much including his best friend who left him a massive estate in his Will including a project manager/Historian who had started work on the property and was to continue working with him on the house .Burke was beyond stunned and also furious with his friend but for reason you will find out.But meeting the beautiful wild red haired historian and working on the project together Blake begins to develop just a little more than a working relationship with this feisty infuriating woman.Yeah he loved everything about this woman .CharlotteThe beautiful Historian project manager with wild red hair who fell in love with Burke newly inherited house from earlier when she had the privilege to meet the two angelsChis and Amie, finally she met the gorgeous grump who had inherited the beautiful old house and what a first impression she made,I’m in stitches!!But yeah she was excited working with him to restore the beautiful Campbell house to its former glory days even if he doesn’t seem happy about it!But as they shared living space to get the project going things began to change and so she devised a plan for both of them to act on their mutual attraction for each other without having any regrets later if they decide to go separate ways…But what she hadn’t considered was how much her heart would become entangled with the gorgeous grump who is still processing his grief and now his feelings towards her.Processing grief is hard and difficult for most and Burke struggled with it..I loved how patient Charlotte is with this man, the banter and angst between them was sizzling!I also loved the family dynamics that Burke and Charlotte have with their family as they play a major part in their relationship,Some of their advice they got was super sweet but mostly hilarious at times!This is partly an emotional beautiful story especially when Conner Crais and Vanessa Edwin are in my ears with this one!I absolutely loved it and the characters portrayed by them both are so good and hilarious at times especially Burke interaction with his sister but more so Daphne and Charlotte ( Charlotte god mother) she was a hoot, The advice and things this woman does will have you bubbling with laughter!And I also got a cameo appearance of the biggest grump Liam, best friend to Christopher&Amie and now father to their daughter little Mira.If you haven’t read/Listen to his storyTHE BEST LAID PLANSplease be sure to check it out!Such a wonderful story and well written by Karla Sorenson.🤍Grumpy/sunshine💙Forced proximity♥️Found family🤍House restoration💙Banter🤍Angst💙Mutual Pining🤍Hilarious side characters💙Fantastic Narrators🤍HEAThanks for reading my ratings and reviewCatch ya next time !@Georgious_eleanorpb🦋

Title: Love and the fixer upper
Review: It's a well written book. The characters are life like. The plot of sound . Editing as well done. It's a well designed book. It's full of poignant moments with a lot of lines that readers will want to jot down for future reference.This book is a romantic book. At its heart it's a book about love in it's many forms. The friends who love you and become your family. Friends that bequeath you a money pit with the hope that you find love. Its a book about the love siblings can share . It's also a book about the romantic love between a retired athlete ,Burke, and historian Charlotte.Unfortunately the romantic relationship was my least favorite part of the love stories in the book. The character of Charlotte just didn't grab me. I suppose that's why I was more interested in the support characters and the back story of Chris and Aime , Liam and Burke then that of Burke and Charlotte.Apparently this book is the first in a new series, "The Best Men", so hopefully Liam will get a book.This is a good book for a book club. It's definitely worth reading.

Review: Fun, cute story of very opposite people that can’t ignore their growing feelings towards one another when they see who they really are underneath their hard exterior.Grumpy ex football player retired from an injury gets left a falling apart house when he loses his best friend. Review: Really enjoyed the main characters. Heartfelt story of loss and love. The hard head of the guy and the stead fast of the girl meshed well together and the fun aunt was hilarious. Loved how they both had a connection from the past.

Review: Burke had recently retired from the Dallas football team and was looking forward to relaxing with his sister and children in Florida. Getting a call to say that his best friend had been killed with his wife, knocked him sideways and then he found out he had been given a dilapidated house in Michigan. He knew it had been a dream of his friend to renovate it and he hated the thought that it was now his. He met Charlotte at the house, she was the expert on old houses and the two clashed heads. What was worse was he had to stay in the small carriage house with her whilst she pushed to keep the place and return it to its former glory and him hating every minute. Both had their own problems about relationships but the chemistry was there and Burke just needed to believe in the house and its healing powers.

Review: The emotions in the story get to you in all the best possible ways. I Loved it and definitely recommend the read. In fact all the books by the author are great. The writing style has a wonderful flow and we can imagine all of it with us rt in the middle of it .

Review: Both Burke and Charlotte are at a cross roads in their lives.   On top of that, Burke is dealing with grief for his friends and he feels a responsibility to honor their memory and do what they would have wanted with the house, but at the same time he feels guilty as for once he was wanting to choose his on path. Charlotte was all sunshine, but she hasn't had an easy life, she has learnt to go after what she wants and doesn't give up.  Both Burke and Charlotte were wonderful characters. There was also wonderful side characters who I hope we might see again!
