Faced with a looming war, the dragon riders have no choice but to leave the safety of Galdrilene and reach out to the nations they once fled. It will take more than Galdrilene to bring down the Shadow Riders. But the Shadows are doing the same and not all nations are opposed to them.
New discoveries are made, old wounds are reopened, and betrayal hides among welcoming smiles. And as rebellion builds in one nation, it’s clear that some choices, even those made with the best of intentions, can have devastating consequences.

Title: Even better than the first!!!
Review: I absolutely loved Embers at Galdrilene, and was excited (but apprehensive) for Tears of War, Trosper proved my apprehension wrong with this book! She takes you more in-depth with the characters (both the naughty ones and our heroes), and introduces new characters that simply make it hard to choose a favorite! Trosper has a very unique writing style that makes you turn the page, no matter how early in the morning it is, you simply can't stop reading. With such a great story, most people would think that it would be hard to remember every character in each point of view, but Trosper writes in such a way that every person's actions are burned into your memory.Tears was most definitely worth waiting for. The world Trosper has created is inviting, terrifying, and fantastical. The Shadow Riders and their dragons are terrible, the malevolence of some just twist your stomach and truly make you feel that you are in their presence. The good Riders and their dragons fill you with such love and caring it can nearly bring you to tears.Tears of War is a WONDERFUL book, in my opinion even better than Embers! With the characters trying to save (or, in the case of the baddies, destroy & control) the world, there's plenty of love, loyalty, betrayal, surprise, and of course with any book with a title of "war", fighting, Tears has something for all fantasy readers. I highly recommend it for the lost fantasy-novel lover.

Title: She's done it again!!!
Review: A.D. Trosper has captured my heart yet again!! She had me with Embers Of Galdrilene, and Tears of War just grabbed me even further. Her attention to keeping characters from Embers alive and the same in Tears was exceptionally well done, and the introduction of new characters kept the story interesting and fresh! It was as hard to put down as her first in the series and I can not wait for the third book in the series. I must say that, never in my life has a story had me in tears....she managed to do that. She has the ability to make her readers so involved with the characters in her books that you feel like they are friends, and you find yourself rejoicing with them over the good things that happen, worrying over problems with them, and crying over the loss of friends. She is truly the only author that's ever been able to make me feel this involved with a story. In my opinion, 5 stars really is not enough to express my opinion. I hope to see many more books from this author!

Title: Another great Dragonride!
Review: In this second book of the Dragon's Call series, the reader experiences much more of the world A.D. Trosper has created. Vivid imagery and excellent characters fill the pages of this book. You can't help but get drawn into their lives; truly experiencing their joys and sorrow. Although I highly recommend this story for anyone that loves dragons, fantasy and magic, I do suggest you start with the first book. There are so many characters that it may be difficult to keep track of them all if starting with this book...not impossible, but difficult. A great read.

Title: OH MY GOSH! unbelievable!
Review: I have just finished "Tears of War" and let me tell you it is no empty title! I am trying to type this review through tears that are still falling! This book, my goodness! I am utterly heartbroken! This isn't a story about good vs evil where the bad guys all get what they deserve and the good guys all win. This story has put me through an emotional wringer!!The evil: I swear I want to reach through the book and strangle every last one of those evil SOBs! How dare they?! That is literally how I feel about the Shadow Dragons and their Shadow Riders! I want to take a magical atomic bomb and drop it right in the middle of their dragon-blasted lair! You're going to thoroughly despise these characters! You know about their back stories and at first you could feel pity for then how they ended up where they did, but by the end of the book you just want the whole lot of them to be consumed by dragon fire! Sadly, too few of them do! And I am not happy about that -_-The good: oh how I love the Guardian dragons and their riders! Each of them are strong characters that bring their own unique style and personality and set of skills to the table. They all have separate stories happening but are all intertwined. You will read about their soaring adventures and accomplishments as well as their cursing losses and heartbreak. So much happens to them you find yourself laughing with them and crying with them. I know I did.The Dragons: if you love them (I personally am obsessed) with them, then you will absolutely love this book. They're so different and varied with just as many personalities and they are just plain awesome!!I so do not want to write any spoilers, but my goodness how terribly heartbreaking this book is! Ugh! I don't know they'll go from here and I am anxiously waiting for the next book to find out.

Review: The characters, both people and dragons, were brought closer to the reader in this second book. The black dragon riders' evil doings are dreadful. The battle and unexpected ending of this book was emotional and heart breaking. Anyone who loves dragons will enjoy this story.

Review: Very few authors start a new series or debut and get it so right as Trosper has. The magic and the story, isn't new, but he has used it in a way that makes it all his own, and he definitely rules the roost.Definitely a book to have in your Kindle.

Review: Did not enjoy this as much as the first book. the middle of the book dragged, too much detail about some things and interesting points not expanded. Also as so many of the names are similar was a bit confusing at times. Then after the long drawn out stuff in the middle the end felt very rushed and shortened. Will get the final book in this trilogy when it comes out and just hope it improves on this or it wont be finished
