From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a brand-new romantic comedy about a one-night stand gone completely wrong. Laugh-out-loud and steamy with a heart-stopping happily ever after.

I knocked up my best friend's sister.

Figured I would get straight to the point, because how it happened is a mere snippet of the story I have to tell. The real meat and potatoes is what happened after.

Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist.

It wasn't pretty.

Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Given how much I've pined for the girl, you would think that wouldn't be a hardship. Wrong.

This is my one shot to win my teammate back. Pacey is the only family I've got, so hooking up with his sister isn't a mistake I can make twice...despite the fact that she's pregnant with my child.

But with every mood swing, every pair of pants that doesn't fit right, and every late night run to find the perfect donut, I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Especially when she kisses me....

Title: Absolutely loved it
Review: WOW! I wasn't sure that I was going to like this smooth-talking player at the start, but I was feeling the swoons in such a MAJOR way by the end. This book is a JOURNEY; a slow tearing down of walls and insecurities. MQ carefully navigates the complexities of a hero who honestly doesn't know what love feels like. I really, really LOVED Eli by the end of this book, and he undergoes an incredible transformation along the way. It's heartwarming and heartbreaking in equal measure, with tense and steamy moments paired with humor and tons of forced proximity. I adored the awkward roommates/parents-to-be dynamic, and this felt so very unique. I've never read a romance quite like it, and that is always a win for me. The more I read, the more I loved it, and I was caught up in my swoony feelings by the end.The story follows Eli, a pro hockey player who has earned his reputation as a one night stand kind of guy. The thought of commitment and relationships terrifies him, so Eli does everything he can to avoid them. Except... there's one girl he could see himself wanting for more than a night. Unfortunately, she's his best friend/teammate's very off-limits sister, Penny. When Eli and Penny run into each other at a bar on his birthday, Eli decides to be impulsive and give in to the feeling. No one was ever supposed to know that they shared one steamy night together, but when Penny announces that she's pregnant, it's a game-changer. Strong-armed into moving in with Penny and taking care of every pregnant craving, Eli's life undergoes a major overhaul. And... he doesn't hate it.This easily has more steamy scenes than any book I've read this year, but it's a slow burn at the heart of it - certainly a slow emotional burn. The sexual tension is ratcheted up to new heights, and I loved seeing Eli change and grow throughout the course of the book. He fights his feelings the whole way through, and it should've been too much. But I just loved him. Give the man a hug, he is starving for affection - playboys always seem to fall the hardest, and that is definitely the case here. The situation perfectly suited his backstory, and I loved how the forced proximity required these two to fight through so many situations where they would've otherwise given up. It actually felt like one of MQ's least angsty books as I was reading it, but looking back, the angst is just scattered in a different way. It's one of those books that takes a little while to settle into, but it gets deeper and richer as the story progresses. One of my new favorites from MQ, and that's saying a lot.Audio note: DUET narration alert! The audio is fantastic, a definite enhancement to an already great story. I loved getting both voices in every chapter, which lended itself perfectly to a story where both characters are in nearly every scene together. While dual narration is fine, duet narration is my favorite and something I seek out in my audiobooks. Here's hoping we get more of them from MQ. Combine that with two excellent narrators, and you're in for a good time. And this will keep you busy for awhile! The runtime is over 14 hours, so it's not a story you'll get through in a workday... nor is it really appropriate for the office, lol. There's a LOT of heat in the back half, so I can't recommend this as a workday listen, but maybe you could listen to the first half in public? Maaaybe. Regardless, it's still one of the best audiobooks I've listened to this year, made even better by one of the best stories I've read in awhile.

Title: sweet, laugh out loud funny with a bit of spice
Review: This book took me by surprise! It has a sweet story line with an incredibly well-written lead female main character! She’s funny! The spice is sweet but the story is better.

Title: preggercy rollercoaster
Review: What a rollercoaster of emotions this book was.Now I know that if I ever get pregnant 🤰🏻 I just want to deal with the 2nd trimester lol…The rollercoaster of emotions that this audio was it was funny, witty and Penny was freaking hilarious, a ball buster and definitely the only one able to keep Eli on his toes. The hockey season may not have been the best but how everything built to their arc was.It was perfection. Well balanced. The narrators specially with Teddy can’t ever go wrong. And Kelsie Navarro brought in that spark that represented Penny wholeheartedly.Definitely obsessed and ready for book 3 of the Agitators ready for potato 🥔🥰

Title: I want to rescue Eli from this book.
Review: The thing about MQ’s Agitators is that these hot hockey players lock-in. Once they fall, they fall hard. In Eli’s case he just doesn’t realize what the connection really means because he has been deprived of love. I was very disappointed that the hottest, most charismatic, and victimized, of the group got saddled with the most whiny immature partner. Penny was manipulative from the beginning and she only got worse as her pregnancy hormones increased. She hid things, avoided difficult conversations and lost her temper with Eli over and over- while he ran around trying to be responsible and supportive which she questions and rejects... The physical chemistry was hot once they gave into their physical connection but other than that I did not see what his attraction was to Penny - besides wanting to be a supportive baby-daddy. They got pregnant after one night and they barely knew each other. Then when they were getting to know each other due to the forced interactions she turned into a shrew and did really weird, and frankly abusive and destructive things to get his attention. I felt sorry for her when she professed her love and he couldn’t reciprocate right away but she just hung around and stayed miserable, made him miserable, and never talked to him. Then there was some huge revelation because of her WISE words and he came to his senses. I wanted to tell him to run for the hills!! Of course she’s in love with him - he’s great with endless patience. But it’s no surprise it took a while for him to fall and I don’t get why he did.MQ’s books are painstakingly descriptive. She paints every detail down to shoes, earrings, etc and it makes the scenes pretty vivid - but it takes me out of it when the male lead describes the brand of lipstick - maybe not that but YKWIM - that the female lead is wearing. Not realistic. Even for Eli who is the fashion plate of the team. This is a fun, exciting world with unique characters. But I think Eli got cheated and it was PAINFUL to read. He kept saying she was out of his league but it did not seem that way. Would have preferred for him to get with someone a bit more mature and together. I felt that he ended up with two children to raise.

Review: This was a great rom com. Meghan did an amazing job showcasing what females go through with pregnancy, but also did an amazing job at showing how things can affect a man’s mental health. This book perfect combination of comedy and plot but also had the ability to pull on the heart strings. I absolutely loved getting to know Eli and Penny. I love the way Meghan also showcased hockey and how mental health can affect hockey players. This was such a great read. I definitely need more of these men.

Adorei

Review: It took me 3 days to finish 492 pages coz honestly I just couldn't keep it down. Funny, exciting, emotional, spicy - you couldn't ask for a Better combination. I haven't laughed so hard on reading a book ever! I loved the part where Eli and Penny were trying to have conversations but they were so awkward... The best part about the snow is that it's white, mane is the best part of a horse and I ate an apple! 😃 can't get better than this.

Review: Book 1 (Pacey) and Book 4 (Halsey, marvel!) Are great, but Book 2 (Eli)? Insufferable main female character, and I would not recommend il for reading.
