Title: Powerhouse Vocalist
Review: Ordered this cd for cousin's Father's Day gift, I own this cd and thought so shouldn't he. Phyllis Hyman vocal pitch and texture is rich and smooth . The way she carries a song WOW, very few singers even today can hold notes properly some music professors could incorporate a few selections from Phyllis catalog as teaching tools on how to sing a song with style. I never get tired of hearing her voice and it's still missed today by fans such as myself. Love this cd !

Title: 'Very Nice Greatest Hits CD!'
Review: 'You Know How To Love Me' is a nice, laid-back Disco song to dance to; Phyllis' vocals as well as her background singers' vocals were lovely (I loved the flute, drums and keyboards); 'Under Your Spell' is a nice song with nice vocals by Phyllis and her background singers; I liked the guitars, drums and strings; 'Somewhere In My Lifetime' is a very beautiful love song and Phyllis' vocals were absolutely beautiful as well; the strings and guitars were very nice; 'You Sure Look Good To Me' is a good song with good vocals by Phyllis and her background singers; the drums and horns were nice as well; 'Can't We Fall In Love Again' (featuring Michael Henderson) is a lovely song and the vocals by Phyllis and Michael Henderson were very nice (I liked the drums and strings); 'Betcha By Golly Wow' is a cover song of the R&B group The Stylistics' song and Phyllis' version is beautiful (she sang the song very slowly and I liked the horns, flute, keyboards and drums); 'Tonight You And Me' is a good song with a good beat as well as good vocals by Phyllis and her background singers (I liked the drums, horns and guitars); 'Your Move, My Heart' is an 'okay' song and the drums, guitars and vocals by Phyllis and her background singers were also 'okay'; 'The Answer Is You' is a nice song with nice vocals by Phyllis as well as the drums, strings and keyboards; 'Gonna Make Changes' is a very nice song with Phyllis' vocals, her background singers' vocals, keyboards and drums were also nice (Phyllis wrote this song). Today is Phyllis' birthday; R. I. P. Ms. Hyman: You may be gone but you will never, ever be, forgotten. (July 6, 1949-June 30, 1995).
