Title: Great military scifi
Review: I really enjoyed this debut military scifi from J. R. Wise. I really liked his pace, his use of characters from multiple perspectives, and his use of the grunts of this story. I really loved the use of Roman history and society used in this novel and my favorite character by far was Auerilus. I am looking forward to more in this universe and I hope to see more of the same characters!

Title: Amazing! A+ work
Review: This was so good. I loved how the whole story was told from multiple POVs that all came together in the end. Read it in two nights and couldn’t keep my eyes from skipping ahead a few times. The perfect amount of description and action to not get bogged down while also keeping pace with the nature of the story! Highly recommend.

Review: This is good stuff, and I'm keen for the next one. The focus is on footsoldiers primarily, marines in this case, with some combat scenes. There's also some spy involvement, bringing in a bigger picture, and there idea that there even more shady things going on than what is mentioned directly. Well done.
