Title: Great! ...But Tends To Duplicate His Other CD
Review: In 1982 and 1983, I resented D Train, because the sound was different from Rick James and other late-70's music I was loyal to. Plus, DeeJays overplayed "You're The One For Me" on the radio, and burned me out on the group.So, I just bought this CD in 2008, and I absolutely love it! All the songs are great, but my favorites are "Trying To Get Over," and "Keep On." The arrangements, instruments, and vocal styles are timeless. D Train's lyrics and vocals are melodic and inspirational.ONE WORD TO THE WISE: You can save yourself $21.00 by purchasing either this CD or "The Best Of The "12" Mixes" -- but NOT both. Maybe I'm the only dunce who didn't know this before, but I'm trying to warn you all now. The only difference is that one song "Trying To Get Over" is approx. three (3) minutes longer on the "12" Mixes" CD. That's it.
