Title: Stevie creates magic with this album!
Review: Moods/Subjects:-Fun-Love-Fantasy-Majestic-Energetic-Imaginary-FascinationI am a major fan of Stevie Nicks, and I am as equally a fan of the "Rock A Little" album! As you listen to this album, you will most likely find yourself revisiting and thinking about the year 1985, and you will be praising Stevie for creating such great, rare ahead-of-its-time music! I will be giving my top 5 favorite songs throughout my review. Soooo, without further ado, I give you...#1) "I Can't Wait" kicks off as my #1 favorite track featured on this entire album! There is such a massive eruption of raw hardcore energy backing the entire song, along with a hot-shock guitar, a heavy weight of up-roaring bass, and a team of power-punching percussion to keep you gyrating in overkill! I had the mp3 for quite some time, but that simply was not good enough for me. I needed her entire 1985 project!#2) "Rock A Little (Go Ahead Lily)" has got to be one of the most rare standout treasures from Stevie's catalog! This slow-moving, rock-lashing, reggae-esque number begins with a weary rock-guitar and a set of passion-driven drums. I especially enjoy the end, which fades with nothing left but the heavy bass, the beat, a kinky guitar, and Stevie's sultry soothing voice!#3) "Sister Honey" is beyond significant to me, and for 2 reasons, one: it's body-thumping beat (which, in my opinion could easily be categorized as R&B). I play (and blast up) this song quite often! And two: the essence of the overall melody reminds me of my friendship with my best friend, whom also adored Stevie Nicks. (2nd favorite)#4) "I Sing For Things" dazzles with such divine lyrics. Stevie uses her calm sensual voice, asking her special someone "Have you ever been in love?,"..."Have you touched the soul of someone?."#5) "Imperial Hotel" picks up the mood with medium speed. The rhythm on this track is lively and upbeat, but the message is one that illustrates the life of a sad and lonely despondent Woman. Once again, Stevie masters the art of third person narration, beautifully.#6) "Some Become Strangers." Stevie states a serious (and TRUE) fact that sometimes, 2 ppl whom have once shared feelings for each other, after awhile, at times, become strangers to one another. (5th favorite)#7) "Talk To Me." Ms. Nicks raises her tone with adrenaline as she reminds her lover about the importance of trust! Stevie then moves forward with the assurance that it is perfectly ok for her lover to open up to her if and when he begins to feel desolate..."You can set your secrets free, baby," with ease. And I must say, Stevie really gets serious toward the end, as she begins belting out a few notes with serious might! (3rd favorite)#8) "The Nightmare" brings a certain prevailing darkness to the entire album. I usually hit repeat each and every time I play this song. A synth/guitar combo dashes in from the beginning, taking you on a mysterious, adventurous, chaotic ride, with synthesizers gleaming like sharp heat rays, and electric guitars crunching and creeping in and out...such a fine Rock & Roll journey...I am hooked on THE NIGHTMAAAAAAARE! (4th favorite)#9) "If I Were You" is yet another one of Ms. Nicks' standouts. You will notice Stevie telling it like it is, accommodated with a swift upbeat drum-driven sound to follow. (my personal bonus track #1)#10) "No Spoken Words" begins with a ridged hard-pounding Heavy Metal opening, which travels moderately from start to finish. I really appreciate Stevie's daring decision to take on the genere of Heavy Metal, and cranking out such a wild sound; a sound that reminds me of all the rugged '80s MoNsTeR rOcK hair bands that dominated the charts in '85. (my personal bonus track #2)#11) "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" brings this album to a supple conclusion. Provided with a traditional piano, a tender guitar, and delicate keyboard, "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" embraces the listener's heart to its very core!I adore Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac and I grew up listening to both! My best friend did as well, which is why I dedicate my review to her and to our friendship, a genuine friendship that will remain for eternity! R.I.P. Kia!

Title: HANDS DOWN FAVORITE STEVIE RECORD
Review: Ok first things first most people that are Stevie fans have Bella Donna on a pedestal and this one w TOSOTM tend to be looked past. Bella Donna and Wild Heart are both beautiful flawless records w that sprinkle of Stevies Gold Dust on them this one is my go to cd to hear front to back! every week my favorite song changes but these songs are still unrankable when it comes to which are the best. alot of people hear the guitars and 80s style synthasizers and dismiss it as "not real stevie" but the lyrics are at the core magical and methaphoric as shes become known and loved for. She was going through some thangs at this time but that choas in her life comes out in these songs and gives it that raw and condid feel that you can feel tranfered to the recording. the main favs tho if id have to pick would be i Cant Wait, Rock A Little, Sister Honey, Sing For The Thin- actually nevermind i was on my way to type out 11 songs lol bottom line : AMAZING COLLECTION OF SONGS!

Title: How cute is that
Review: Well would you just look at how cute that album cover is.Well mabe thats why I purchaced it?What a surprise to hear what she has in there for us,she never fails to deliver.I don`t want to plant any seeds to spoil your fun,but there is one song I can`t get thu without the tears.Alright I will tell you which one it is,it is number 9 and the title is ,If I were you.The whole album is unexplainable because I don`t think they have invented a word to decribe it,I don`t want to use the word supernatural,it is so creative it`s so close to supernatural,it`s like a near supernatural experience each time I listen to it.Christmass is coming and if I didn`t have this Rock a Little album and someone gave it to me I would have to say it would be the best gift of all.For all you gift givers and Music is somthing you are considering,Stevie Nicks Rock a Little is an excellent purchace with no regrets.~Peace Glenna MacDonald~

Review: This album is Stevie Nicks finest album for me. Though her previous Solo efforts ('Belladonna' and 'Wild Heart') both featured some great tracks, for me this is the most consistent album. I originally had this on vinyl when it was released and only recently decided to track down the CD. Whilst her previous Solo albums are pretty easy to find on CD this one isn't that readily available in the UK anymore so is an import. From the opening track 'I Can't Wait' through the title track and the excellent 'I Sing For The Things' every track here is a gem and doesn't appear to have dated at all - just evokes some great memories of the time. And I can still remember virtually every word from every track here.A great album which you can still find at a reasonable price if you investigate hard enough.Another great example of fantastic music from the '80's. If you don't already own this album, make it your next purchase.
