Title: Styx Cornerstone CD
Review: This was a new CD and was received in excellent condition no damage. This is one of the highest rated selling CDs by the group Styx next to Paradise Theatre, which was their number one selling album. It was nice to add these back to my collection of music. 80's classic rock music.

Title: A great album, if you are a Styx fan
Review: I once had this album on LP, but gave it up years ago to consolidate space. This fits the bill perfectly. I know audiophiles may feel CDs are too tinny or not as rich, but I honestly don't notice a huge difference (age does that 🙂 ). If you like Styx and prefer a solid CD as a backup to just mp3 files, this is a great addition to your collection in a 'compact' way.

Title: CONERSTONE
Review: Conrnerstone meaning strength, so The Cornerstone of Cornerstone is clearly the ballads. Even without the ballads, several things stand out about this album. First, "Borrowed Time" and "Why Me" demonstrate that STYX is still in touch with its roots. Second, "Lights" and "Never say Never" show a new and interesting feel to the group's style. Third, "Eddie" is a fabulous rocker. Most of all, Tommy Shaw really showed why STYX brought him in with his unique and wonderful "Boat on the River". While not as good as Pieces of eight and Grand illusion , this overall is a very good album.

Title: Styx Cornerstone
Review: This is a very controversial album by a great band. First I bought the five classic albums for twenty dollars, which was a bargain. It included The Grand Illusion, Paradise Theater, Kilroy Was Here, A Best of Collection which have all been part of a audio master plus series and had all original artwork and also Pieces of Eight which was not included in the series and the only one to not have lyrics. I thought that was a big mistake. This brings me to Cornerstone which I thought would be better included in this package rather than a Best of Collection. It is true that this album wasn't as good as Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight, but it is better than their first four Wooden Nickle albums and also Kilroy was Here. Cornerstone had the hits Babe, Why Me and Borrowed Time and went triple platinum like the other albums around this time period. Three hits on one album is never a bad thing. Bands go through changes and I guess they wanted to do something different. I compare this album to Led Zeppelin 3 for the same reason. It might be hard to digest at first but after a period of time you might like it. I will admit I like Equinox, Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight more but I still think Cornerstone is solid good album by a great band that wasn't afraid to experiment.

Title: I have loved this album since it first was released
Review: I have loved this album since it first was released. This album does however seem to mark the point Styx was mellowing and becoming more pop or radio oriented. That being said, it is still a fine album, but not rocking as prior albums. The 180 gram pressing was quite good. If you like Styx and want to hear them on great sounding vinyl then , buy this or some of the other releases, from "Friday Music" This company does a fine job with remastering classic albums.
