Title: Great collection of music
Review: I grew up listening to the Carpenters in the 1970's. Everybody played "We've Only Just Begun" at their weddings. "Close to You" was the favorite if many teenage girls, too.I think what gives the Carpenters' music staying power was the beautiful, velvet voice of Karen Carpenter. She ranked at the top along with Linda Ronstadt and Minnie Riperton for the most beautiful voices of the 1970's, and for all-time in popular music.

Review: このＣＤは、２つの点でカーペンターズのあまたの編集盤とは一線を画します。リチャード･カーペンターがリミックスやオーバーダビングしたバージョンをコンピレーションに収録し続けてきた中で、オリジナル・バージョンを収録していること。もう１点は、２枚組の中に全米ＨＯＴ１００ヒットがすべて入っていること。３枚目にはソロアルバムのハイライト。これらにより決定版というべきなのだが、なぜか選曲を変えた盤が翌年に出た上、廃盤に。オランダ盤Universal 983 584-5（2006年）を探してみてください。なお、オリジナル･アルバム･バージョン採用のため、Yesterday Once MoreのエンディングにＳＥが入ったり、Calling Occupants...が編集バージョンでないのは致し方ないところ。これと同年に日本で出たシングル･ボックスを手に入れてもシングル･バージョンのすべては集まらないようです。本国でコンプリート・シングル集が出てくれることを望みます。
