Title: My Carpenters Bible
Review: I am so glad that I purchased this Carpenters Anthology songbook. The Carpenters music has been a staple of the soundtrack of my life for years. Now that I have this book I can play my favorite songs on my piano. I can hear how the music sounds in my mind as I go through the written score. This is definitely the best songbook in my library. Karen and Richard Carpenter were a supergroup, they were in a class of their own. Same goes for this songbook, this book is the closest thing to my personal Carpenters bible. I will admit the music in here is definitely meant for pianists who have some degree of experience with playing piano under their belt. If you love the Carpenters music as much as I do and wish to play your own interpretations of these timeless songs, by all means follow in my lead and purchase a copy of this book. Nothing in this world is perfect and that includes one song in this book. Goodbye To Love has the two guitar solos omitted. Other than that this book is great.

Title: Good intermediate arrangements and a sound launching pad for your own more advanced explorations of this wonderful music.
Review: This is a sheet music version of the famous album anthology put out by The Carpenters. I recommend having the audio version as well as this sheet music. You will want to know exactly how Karen and Richard made this music work so well. Obviously, most of us cannot reproduce what they did. But you won't even come close if you just play the simplified notes here. If you listen carefully you will hear how Karen never sings the notes strictly and you will notice how much richer the keyboard playing is under Richard's hands. You don't need to duplicate it, but you can seek the feel and use the sheet music as a basis for building your own take on this wonderful music. The price is great and the arrangements, even if played as is, are fine for people learning to play and of intermediate experience. However, if you are an experience musician, this is a launching pad for your version of the music. Great to have in your library and for exploring this music of the 1970s and 80s.Whenever I listen to their music and arrangements I realize what a treasure we lost with her passing. So sad.But the music lives on so beautifully and her rich alto voice is always there for us to hear again.

Title: It’s The Carpenters—It’s Perfect
Review: My older siblings listened to The Carpenters so these songs are all very nostalgic for me.No one, no one, sings like Karen Carpenter—her voice was magical. The arrangements are well done and fairly easy to sightread. The print is just right and the binding seems like it will hold up well.

Title: Great, Easy Piano Music of Carpenter's
Review: I had this book as a teen and over the years it was lost along with my piano. Now, I have gotten another Kimball Piano and replaced my "lost" music books. I love this book, I love THE CARPENTERS and I love every one of these songs. Karen Carpenter was my favorite artist as a teen

Title: Love it but a few drawbacks
Review: I like most of the arrangements and it's a good collection of most of their big songs. I'm giving it four stars because I love the songs so much and I'm happy to have them in sheet music. However, a few of the arrangements are just piano accompaniment for vocals, and others have places where there is an accompaniment for an instrument, only there’s no music for the instrument. I don't see how that's very smart. What are we supposed to do, write it out? The other thing I don't like about the book is that there are so many repeats and codas and multiple endings that you are flipping all over the place to try to play the whole song. It's very impractical. I probably am going to end up copying a number of pages and pasting them together to get through one song without constantly flipping forward and back.

Title: Wonderful Anthology
Review: This book serves its purpose well. With over 40 songs in its original score. Nice and clear printing. I enjoyed playing all my favorite Carpenters songs. The only thing can be improved is the binding. It is difficult to lay the book flat. But I can take it to Staples and have them change it to the spiral binding. Overall, this book is great.

Title: Love the Carpenters
Review: Love the Carpenters and this book is a great collection of songs with good arrangements for keyboard. I followed someone else’s suggestion and had it spiral bound (at Staples) so it lays flat!

Review: Very playable. Contains all of their hits but also quite a few slow ballads from their albums with true to original arrangements. Some of the songs have the melody in the piano part (an octave higher than sung) and others are the backing (so you can sing along if you are so inclined) Worth the money.

Review: The arrangements are simple enough yet give a sense of the recorded version. Many of the songs are suited for Ms Karen Carpenter’s vocal range, and may not suit everyone as a sing-along, unless you transpose the key yourself. The left-hand accompaniments are fairly basic, but accessible for beginner pianists. If you are a more advance pianist, just read the chords and improvise for a bigger more complex sound. Overall, this anthology of Carpenters songs is a treasure for all who appreciate their work from a very special time in popular music.
