Title: Good 60s light rock
Review: The disc arrived secure in a standard jewel case. The recordings are clear and not muddy. The songs I am familiar with sound original to me. I guess people think this band canât have good music since the mom was also in it. I find their music interesting and having a moderate amount of complexity. Overall the product is good, with good recordings and good packaging. The music is good and people need to give them a listen.

Title: First Rate Blast from the past
Review: One of the many things I enjoy in life is good music and the Cowsills are an old time favorite. The CD arrived in good condition and within a reasonable time for delivery. I am happy with my purchase.

Title: Good Collection - But Half The CD Tracks Are Mono
Review: This so-called "Millennium Collection" best-of CD is put out by Polydor. The track selection varies somewhat from the original "Best Of The Cowsills" album. Both contain their four biggest hit singles. This one has a few interesting tracks not on the other: "In Need Of A Friend," the Cowsills' version of "Silver Threads And Golden Needles," the adventurous "The Prophecy Of Daniel & John The Devine" and Bill Cowsill's excellent gospel-tinged "II X II." Polydor also tagged on Bill Cowsill's "When Everybody's Here" from his 1971 solo album.The only real throwaway track is the Cowsill's version of the lightweight "Love American Style" - used by the TV show for the initial year of it's run. What Polydor fails to disclose is that five of the 12 tracks on this CD are mono versions (there's a vague note on the inside liner notes identifying them as "single versions"). There's nothing necessarily wrong with mono recordings, but Polydor should have had the honesty to explicitly identify them as such. So five stars for the music, but I give the CD four stars due to Polydor's lack of candor.

Title: BROUGHT BACK ALOT OF HAPPY MEMORIES!!!
Review: This "Best of Cowsills" CD is fantastic!!! I recently purchased it and have enjoyed it so much since! Listening to "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" was nostalgia-provoking - it is such a pretty, romantic song. I was a teeny-bopper when they hit it big, and I had quite a crush on the next to youngest brother, Barry! I am not ashamed to say that I even teared up when I recently heard "Indian Lake" for the first time since the late 60's! I had forgotten what a happy, fun song it was! "We can Fly" is a literally "uplifting" (pardon the pun) song - how can you not feel joyful while listening to it? I always loved their song, "Love American Style" and listening to "Hair" makes you feel like dancing, wherever you are! I hadn't remembered "Poor Baby," "In Need of a Friend" and "II X II" from those days, but I am now a new fan of those songs, as well! What a wonderful album!!! The Cowsill family harmonies are delightfully perfect! Also, the liner notes and pictures are fun to look over. I highly recommend it to others - you'll be glad you purchased it! It'll make you happy, just listening to the songs and remembering (or imagining) a sweeter, more innocent era gone by.

Title: A family legacy that will last ages.
Review: It is wonderful to find a collection that has all of my favorite songs from The Cowsills. They provided some great musical material in a relatively short period of time. They also had great balance in the vocal arrangements of their songs. The vendor did a great job of getting this item to me ahead of the scheduled delivery time frame. I am very satisfied with the product and service.
