“The Walt Whitman of Los Angeles.”—Joyce Carol Oates, bestselling author
“He brought everybody down to earth, even the angels.”—Leonard Cohen, songwriter
War All the Time is a selection of poetry from the early 1980s. Charles Bukowski shows that he is still as pure as ever but he has evolved into a slightly happier man that has found some fame and love. These poems show how he grapples with his past and future colliding.

Title: Dated
Review: Loved Bukowski back in the 1980s. He seems a little dated now. The casual alcoholism and misogyny are not great. Still, the poems are quite entertaining. To me, Septuagenarian Stew would be a better option.

Title: Bukowski!
Review: What can I say? Itâs Bukowski poetry towards the end of his life, which is the period in which he would write some of his greatest poems!

Title: Real All The Time
Review: Like it or not Uncle Hank simply narrates his life and zaps you between the eyes with his wit and bleary eyed wisdom. If you know Bukowski this book of verse is what you want and expect. If you haven't gotten to know Hank yet, just buy the book!

Title: one of his best poetry books
Review: This is Buk at his peak, without any doubt this is his most coherent book and works even better than his poetry collection and shows Bukowski at the height of his poetic power. Highly recommended

Review: Buk was always one of my favourite authors of all time, but being a fan of him this book was rare to find, and it was only single piece left in stock, Iâm grateful that it arrived in perfect condition.
