Title: Road Trip Survival Kit
Review: For vacations we use these easy puzzles, hand puppets and down pillows for our trip survival kit. The books we play as a group and they are easy enough for the kids to get some of the answers, the puppets are for adults and kids to entertain people and kids in other cars and the pillows are for fights at stops. A quick fight at the far end of the parking lot and we are good for more sitting. Enjoy!

Title: Easy-medium level puzzles
Review: These puzzles are comfortably challenging for a relaxing evening. They seem much easier than some of the medium level puzzle books from the NYT (such as "Wild Crosswords."), some of the clues are very transparent, but overall every puzzle threw some obstacles in the way. The spiral bound book is very easy to handle, and the paper stands up to my erasing.

Title: Wednesday Puzzles
Review: Who doesn't love Wednesday puzzles? Not too hard, and not too easy. Not too many tricks, yet challenging. Nice collection!

Title: Perfect Blend of Hard-But-Not-Too-Hard
Review: I love the NYT crossword puzzles but sometimes find that the Friday and weekend versions are too difficult. The clues are too obscure (you know, second wife of the king of Bulgaria in 1355 - who knows that stuff?). But I do love a challenge and especially like when they have themes or use double entendres as clues. I recommend Tuesday (easier) and Wednesday and Thursday (perfect). The spiral binding and larger print is nice, too.

Title: Good challenge level
Review: I found the Wednesday puzzles to be a great level of challenge, although there is some variety within the book itself (some puzzles I could do in one sitting, some took me several days). The spiral binding is fantastic and the pages are a good quality. They can stand up to being erased a few times over. My only wish is that the year the puzzle was written would be included on each page, which might provide some assistance in figuring out some clues!

Title: Harder than expected
Review: I feel like these are fairly harder than I expected. Some of the clues are WAY out there. Maybe I'm just not used to the NYT puzzles, but I have NEVER heard of some of these answers. I will give it one more try and maybe start with a Monday edition instead of the Wednesday.

Title: Good little book at a good price.
Review: M;y husband used to do the Times crossword when he commuted to work on the train. He is now retired, and I wanted him to keep his brain agile, so I ordered best of week as I figured he could try it and if he liked it there are other days as a variation. He absolutely loves it and does a crossword each day with his coffee, after breakfast.Decent size, easy to read, good crosswords - typical Times.

Review: Challenging crossword book -- some of the puzzles are quite dated I think, based on the clues. Like that there are very few foreign words in these puzzles which I dislike in some books since I don't actually speak a foreign language 🙂

Review: Maybe these puzzles deserve 5 stars for their level, but I cannot judge that as I know only the Sunday and Thursday puzzles. Wednesday isn't challenging enough. Maybe I should have known that.

Review: I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my husband who likes to do crosswords over the holidays. I looked at a few myself and found I really enjoyed them too. We do some separately and some together. They're great fun. I never thought I was good at crosswords so didn't even try, but these were a nice level for a beginner -- challenging enough to be interesting but not too hard generally. I like that there are a lot of pun based clues so it's not all about straight knowledge. That makes them more accessible and more fun.

Review: I was looking for the NYT cryptic crosswords but ended up getting this after being directed into it by amazon - I hate it when they do that and ignore the most important thing you were looking for in the first place.I appreciate all crosswords are only as difficult as how easily each person can do them but this is a US BASED crossword of general knowledge. it is NOT cryptic so no working it out regardless, you literally need to know loads of stuff that is pure US and you wouldn't know if you didn't live there / visit often. Some good clues still but completing a puzzle is effectively impossible for anyone not versed in US popular culture / politics / the local shops branded produce etc.maybe I'm just rubbish... but you don't say I didn't tell you 🙂
