Time and Tide Clocks are useful and exciting additions to any coastal home. They are perfect for swimmers, beachcombers, fishermen, surfers and boat owners, offering a simple and reliable way to tell the time of the local tides, along with time of day ---at a glance. The tides run on moon time, where each day has 24 hours and 50 1/2 minutes, so high and low tides do not occur at the same hour each day. The Time and Tide Clock clearly shows you both tides and the time of day. Time and Tide Clocks are much easier to read than printed tide tables, and come in a variety of styles to compliment any decor. Tide Clocks do not operate in the Gulf of Mexico.
Clearly tells the time of day and shows the hours to high and low tides. Attractive and Useful.
Does not operate in the Gulf of Mexico
Requires a single AA alkaline battery
Scratch-resistant acrylic lens

Title: Perfect
Review: Made in the USA (how often do you see that, anymore?), easy to set, simple design, and it hasn't lost a second; since I set it.Lighter than the old clocks, and more streamlined, so it hung easily. If you're on the fence, consider this your nudge!

Title: It is a good clear clock setting the Tide gets to be tricky.
Review: Clock and function are really good. The only dig I can really say is setting the tide feature. Terminology aside because the tide is in blocks of High Tide, Receding Tide, Low Tide, Rising Tide. In a perfect world you would be holding the clock at either the zenith (High Tide) or nadir (Low Tide) at an equinox. In a real world you will be adjusting the Tide portion a lot until you get it clocked in. This isn't abnormal just something to realize.

Title: Pretty useless clock
Review: Well, I don't know why we bothered keeping this thing on the wall of our boat for over 2 years. Honestly it worked for a month or two on and off but kept dying. I don't know if the single AA battery for this can't handle time and tide (ha!) but seriously. We kept putting a fresh battery in, looking back an hour later and it had stopped. It is made of quite flimsy plastic, looks nice from afar but the bottom line is it just doesn't work. Pay $10 for this, expect that, but for this price... Also I contacted the customer service/seller a couple of months after purchase, they referred me to the manufacturer who never bothered replying to my email. A shame.

Title: Tide Time faulty
Review: The clock itself is very attractive and the hourly time is correct. BUT, the tide time looses minutes every day and needs to be corrected weekly. I received this for a Christmas present that was to replace my faded current tide clock that was over 15 yrs old. It was to be used in our summer home on the Bay of Fundy where the tide is measured daily for fishing or daily beach walks. My daytime visitors time their coming here to coordinate with the tides. So other than being a nice looking piece this clock is a nuisance because I have to look up it's accuracy on the tidal internet site and reset it ever few days. Cannot be relied on. Unfortunately too late to return.

Title: Not just a novelty item
Review: Got it for my wife for for Christmas (she's the sailor). I liked the graphics but it also works well as clock -- its quiet, it keeps good time and its easy to set. The manufacturer provides a lot of information about where it will work and how to set it; it is worth reading before you buy. The only improvement I can think for it would be to have a somewhat more fancy pointer to the tide information (its the stubby red hand in the picture).
