I hate Ripley Brewer.

So, why am I cuddling on his lap, peering into his ocean-blue eyes while cameras record our every move?

My best friend needs my help to save her career, and I would do anything for her. Besides, filming a reality show sounds fun … until Ripley shows up to play the role of my fake boyfriend.

As always, we nearly come to blows within minutes of seeing each other. The playboy billionaire accuses me of a setup, but I insist I’d rather live in a world without carbs than spend a minute with him.

At some point during the melee, we sign contracts. I can’t stand the look of his six feet two inches of chiseled abs and broad shoulders. And I loathe his arrogance. But now that he’s my pretend beau, I’m stuck acting like I’m falling in love with my biggest enemy.

It turns out that Ripley’s a good actor, too. Every soft touch on the small of my back makes my heart thump faster. His sultry smirk feels like it’s only for me. I should detest every word that passes his kissable lips.

Is this all a ruse, or does Ripley want to end this episode of The Invitation going from enemies to lovers? Because now? I’m not convinced I can despise him anymore.

Title: Ripley and Georgia are Enemies to Lovers Gold
Review: And just like that I’ve got a new favorite Brewer! The Invitation is Ripley and Georgia’s story, and when their story begins, they're not exactly fond of one another. They've known each other since high school and share a friend group, which makes it difficult to avoid one another. What makes it even harder is that they wind up doing a pilot for a dating show to help out their friend. And things escalate when it turns out that maybe they don't hate each other as much as they thought they did.I absolutely love Ripley Brewer. All the Brewer siblings are great in their own way, but Ripley is pretty much the best at this point. He's so extremely charming and feels very real. Yes, he's been privileged his whole life, but life with a father like his made things tough. He's been through a lot, but it's those moments of vulnerability that make him so completely endearing. And Georgia! She's got the qualities you want in a friend, and she's so feisty, especially where Ripley is concerned. Together, all the banter and snark is totally entertaining, and I loved how their story evolved. And the storyline is great. It's fun but complex and everything from the cast of characters to the pacing is done just right. This enemies to lovers romance is phenomenally written, and I wouldn't change a thing about how things unfold. I laughed. I "awwed." I swooned. It's precisely the sort of storytelling that makes Adriana Locke one of my all-time favorite romance writers, and this book and series is a must read. Also, if you're a fan of audiobooks, this one is so good! Jason Clarke as Ripley and Lexi Maynard are perfectly cast as Ripley and Georgia. He's got that deep tenor that works for Ripley, and the way Lexi portrays Georgia is spot on. I definitely recommend giving The Invitation a listen. So, if you love enemies to lovers romance with all the banter and spice, you're going to want to add this one to your TBR. It's fun and steamy but grapples with deeper themes, and I couldn't get enough.

Title: Fun Enemies to Lovers Listen
Review: This is a fun and oddly sweet listen for an enemies to lovers story. Ripley and Georgia bring out the absolute worst in each other until they bring out the absolute best. They go for each other match for match from beginning to end. I felt like Ripley came out of nowhere and swept me right off my feet! I wasn’t prepared for how lovable and loving he turned out to be. Georgia also ends up showing a softer more vulnerable side that is nice to experience. A bit of a slow burn but plenty of spice and heat once this couple crash into each other.Jason Clarke does a great job portraying Ripley. I have been a fan of his performances in the past and this was no different. I am not as familiar with Lexi Maynard but felt her performance narrating Georgia was great. The timing and banter of this audio are on point and so much fun to listen to.Listeners note: 1.3x speed

Title: Fun Story!
Review: The Invitation is the third book in the Brewer Family series. This story features Ripley and Georgia, who have been at odds since their senior year of high school. Their frequent clashes stem from a long-standing mutual animosity, which only intensifies when they end up on a reality dating show together due to last-minute casting changes. Both are too stubborn to back out despite discovering they will be each other’s dates because they each have personal reasons for wanting the show to succeed. As Ripley and Georgia navigate their staged romance and spend actual time communicating, they begin to peel back the layers of misunderstanding and question why they fought so much in the first place. Ripley and Georgia's undeniable chemistry makes their journey from enemies to lovers believable and deeply satisfying. Ripley is so swoony! He is so patient, charming, and supportive of Georgia. The Brewer siblings are the best! They always have fun banter and bring the laughs. This was a really fun read, and I can't wait for the rest of the series.

Title: Light, funny an all around feel good story.
Review: This book is flirty and funny, I laughed out load and for the most part had a constant smile while reading it. There were a couple of moments that where angsty but it’s a true feel good story. A light read that will leave you feeling good after you finish it; and it will leave you wanting more. Ripley and Georgia’s banter is off the chart, it’s like foreplay, even when they “hate” each other. Their chemistry is pure steam and when they finally come together it is highly combustible. If you are familiar with this author, then you’ll see a beloved character make an appearance. You will also get a lot of his family; brother’s, sister and mom. I can’t wait for the next Brewer brother to get his story and to meet their counterpart. Adriana Locke outdid herself with this one. Renn from The Proposal is my favorite Brewer brother so far but, Ripley I stole my heart. Absolutely recommend. HEA guaranteed.

Review: The Invitation, in a word, is AMAZING!!!! Adriana Locke, for the first time, tries her hand at enemies-to-lovers and she HIT A GRAND SLAM with this one!!!! Ripley Brewer and Georgia Hayes have had a history of "hating" each other, but as the story unfolds, you discover that there's so much more to their story! When Georgia's best friend Sutton needs a favour and asks her to help her out with a new reality style dating show, she agrees because that's what friends do! Besides, she's not working and she could use the cash! The sparks fly when she discovers that none other than Ripley is her "co-star"! The banter between these two is ON POINT and somewhere along the way, their "dates" start to feel not so fake! Add in a rambunctious puppy into the mix, along with the whole Brewer clan....you have ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!The Invitation is filled with ALL the feels, heat, heart and banter and I recommend this one whole heartedly! I LOVED it!!

Review: Ripley Brewer is swoony!!! Gotta love a Hate to Lovers story and the hate in this one has been going on for years. Georgia is such a string woman and i loved that we also get to see her vulnerability. These two think they know each other but through the course of there 'dates' thanks for being loyal to friends and helping them out they discover they never real knew the other person at all. Ripley is just so swoony and when he falls he falls hard and i loved seeing him like that. You get plenty of Brewer banter in this one and the text chat one of my fav parts of these books is just a riot. Can't wait for what comes next.

Review: This latest instalment in the Brewer family series features Ripley Brewer and both he and Georgia certainly have family issues to overcome. I didn't enjoy this book as much as others by this author. I don't like all the bickering that comes with the enemies to lovers trope and Georgia's mother was appalling, but Ripley was a sweetheart. I wasn't sold on the TV pilot premise and this aspect didn't go anywhere in the end.

Review: Adriana Locke has written another stellar romance in The Invitation.Riley Brewer is quite possibly the sweetest, most openly vulnerable MMC I’ve ever read. He’s strong, steadfast, and once he realizes that his 10 year enemy is actually his dream girl, he wears his heart on his sleeve. No wonder the author herself is so taken with him!Georgia thought she hated him, but she’s also incredibly attracted to him. Everyone one knows they’re meant for each other, but them. Until they do. And then it gets beautifully complicated and incredibly simple all at once.I’ve mentioned my GOATBB list before, but I did not realize Locke held three of 11 spots in my ultimate list. Dammit if she doesn’t now hold 4 of 12 spots! And now three are Brewers. What a gorgeous family!
