Title: A NOT so Inevitable Progression If One Resolves To Abide The Storm...
Review: An excellent album whish surpasses all her previous work, and shows Toni has";staying power"in an industry where artist usually are";fly-by-night";in the limelight!! Toni displays her trademark STRONG emotion-tinged vocals on";Rollercoaster";with a convincing";But,I love you;can't STAND you;need you;but DAMN you!!"; She does a peerless job of conveying the conflicting feelings that surface during an unstable love/hate relationship. The honest"I Wish"showcases the abject bitterness of a jilted/"crushed"partner of a love-relationship,however many times the lie:"I wish you the best in life from here on out."is said,in an attempt to sound"mature"about matters. Who HASN'T honestly thought as their former love skips off with one they'd been secretly loving for some time before being brought into the light:"I hope she breaks your heart;like you did to me;I HOPE you're UNhappy!! I hope she creeps on you, with somebody who's-------------------TWENTY-TWO;I swear to GOD,I'm gon' be LAUGHING at you------EVERYday!!" "Broken";tells of how love can be a tormentuous ordeal, even when it presents fiscal security,to the point, one would rather BE broke and destitute, than to remain in a hellish relationship with one who provides financial stability!! "Heart attack";chronicles an ex who ended things, seeing their";old flame";happy with another, and can't hide their disdain and desire to have the very one they shunned,BACK in their arms,to the point where their anxiety is approaching coronary levels!! I love:"You KNOW that you want me BACK;you're up there 'bout to have an HEART-attack!!! Don't ACT like you don't want it again!!" You know you want it back;THAT'S why you' bouta' have an heart-attack!!" Both true and hillarious is this song,as it reminded me of a chick who dumped me,look to be on the verge of a heart attack when seeing me eating at a trendy eatery with a young, shapely, sexy blonde who'd driven all the way from Winnipeg Manitoba to spend time with me!! "The D Word"is a touching song which shows no matter HOW common it's become in this day, divorce is still a traumatizing event!!! Here the divorcees are really questioning their decision to cut love-ties!! "Though we are apart, you're STILL on my HEART;forever and ever and EVER!!" "HOW am I supposed to mingle when YOU're ALL I want to see?!?"Great album which contains WONDROUS vocals,to compliment the"reality"of love-relationships and marriages!! A truly LANDMARK album!!

Title: The Art of Staying In Love
Review: "Love, Marriage & Divorce" by Toni Braxton & Babyface is delightful adult R&B music. Its themes of romantic discord sacrifice the sweet blush of new lovers where everything in the world is roses to focus on the art of staying in love, sometimes not always successfully. The opener "Roller Coaster" sets a smoking midtempo melody against a burning lyric that Braxton & Babyface deliver passionately, "I need you, can't stand you; Want you, but damn you." "Hurt You" is another driving midtempo track that pulses as lovers collide into caress. "Where Did We Go Wrong?" is a classic soul heartbreak ballad with a lovely chorus that rivets the listener, "I wish I would have listened; I wish I would have heard; I wish I would have touched you, baby; I wish I would have said the words that I love you." "Heart Attack" has some delightful hooks that sets your toe to tapping before your body just needs to dance. The CD is a strong set that breaks through and demands to be heard. Enjoy!

Title: Reunion
Review: When it has came down to R&B music of today, it has been overplayed by cheap and wasted songs from the annoying Beyonce' and the wasted Rihanna, where music has not mattered, and overexposure has to matter. For Toni Braxton, she has been out of the music scene for awhile and more of the focus has been on her reality show with her family reality show, Braxton Family values, and the spotlight has been more on Tamar Braxton with Love & War. That also can be said for Babyface, who discovered Toni Braxton and has shown a great smooth showmanship as a great songwriter for his work, and making works for the definitive Whitney Houston and TLC and producing for Toni as well, as the queen of his label LaFace with L.A. Reid. But fr both of them, it has been awhile since new music came from both of them. But hearing the two of them make new music together again as a duet record, seems worth the effort in heart, and mostly works its chemistry well.Love, Marriage & Divorce may be a throwback concept album to the 90's, but at heart there are some good songs here, focusing on the ups and downs of love and loss. The album seems basically short, but the heart is shown mostly well for both Toni Braxton & Babyface. Some songs work excellently like the lead single Hurt You, and Where Did We Go Wrong, where as the case some of the solo songs could work better in harmony and lyrics, like the fairly drown I Wish, where some of the lyrics lose you a bit in the heart, but the other solo tracks like I'd Rather Be Broke and I Hope That You're Okay work a bit better. For Babyface, he pens his work mostly well, and Toni shows it as well, over twenty years since Babyface and Toni first sung together on Give U My Heart from the movie Boomerang and off of Toni's debut record. As for Toni, who had a very good last album with 2010's Pulse, but was heavily unappreciated with radio, and a public battle announcing she has lupus, it is a welcome return to what her beautiful in the first place, great songs and a elegant heart. While Love, Marriage & Divorce might be considered a throwback 90's album, or a weak showing compared to today's music which has been more wasted than delivered, it is still a better album that harkens back to the lush R&B smoothness of when songs did matter. If you have never heard either of Toni Braxton or Babyface's work before, you should go back and get one of their earlier records like For The Cool In You from Babyface, or the definitive Secrets from Toni Braxton and then get a listen to Love, Marriage & Divorce. But for those hard core fans of both Toni Braxton and Babyface, you'll definitely want to get a listen at this album.Album Cover: BSongs: B-Price: B 1/2-Mastering: BOverall: B 1/2-

Review: One of the best R&B albums i have ever heard and Toni Braxtons best and most complete full album of her career, the combination of Babyface and Toni Braxton is perfect on this album , it relies heavily on the writing and production skills of Babyface, but both there vocals shine throughout as well, especially Toni Braxtons vocals , we all knew shes a great singer anyway, but her albums always tend to usually contain some great tracks and some lazy fillers , but this album has no lazy fillers at all , its a well crafted masterpiece of 2 awesome talents and i recommend it not only to R&B fans but to all music lovers, its an album thats worthy to been up there with the greats of soul music legends
