Title: The French and Indian War
Review: A riveting account of early events leading up to the creation of our country. This collection of six novels I read the first time while in high school and enjoyed them equally as much the second time as I read them again at the advanced age of 71 years.

Title: The writing reflects the time of the conflict well
Review: Altsheler wrote in the style of of his time and probably reflects the time of the conflict in the fashion that contemporaries would have found most appealing. The manner of speech probably more closely approximates the actual dialog of the time. The stories are fantastic and fun to read.

Title: Great history
Review: This is the best review of history. James Fenimore Cooper would like this one. There is, however, some repetition. Word

Title: In a style similar to that of James Fennimore Cooper's "Last of the Mohicans",
Review: In a style similar to that of James Fennimore Cooper's "Last of the Mohicans", I found this set of novels both entertaining and historically correct. The author wraps his fictional story around true historic facts, or "FACTION," in a way that the reader can transport his or herself into the story's setting and feel the history in a way history books never capture. Worth the read of anyone who enjoys reading a book of that era where the culture and manner of talking is captured within the story.

Title: Better than good
Review: This Series taught me a lot about the so called " First American civil war ".It allows the reader to be part of the adventure. The only comment in the negative is the fact that the Author tended to repeat certain phrases that became rather tedious . Apart from that an exciting read

Title: Pretty Good Historical Read
Review: This is a decent novel about a period of American history many know little about. The writing style is a bit simplistic and reminds me of James Fenimore Cooper. The main character qualities are a bit exagerated. But the novel gives a good description of what life on the early frontier was like and the politics that resulted in the French and Indian wars.
