Review: No Disqualification/No Count Out Match: Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels - Seeing how this is only the fourth time in WrestleMania history & the first time in 15 years that a non-title match is the final match at WrestleMania, you could tell that the quality they delivered last year was enough to warrant the closing position. Although these two put on such a memorable classic last year, they were able to put on another classic but different match this year as the stipulations of only winning by pinfall/submission along with the story of Shawn being so obsessed with ending the streak that he risked his own career...this match was more intense than the last one right from the opening moment when Shawn did Taker's trademark signature "throat slash" at the start. Taker hurt his leg early in the match giving Shawn the advantage by heavily working over that leg with various moves like the figure four & even the anklelock. Things really picked up from here with such moments as Shawn getting the tombstone on the floor, HBK executing a moonsault that you have to see to believe, and being able to counter moves from Undertaker that nobody else was able to counter before him while Taker himself was able to keep getting up from everything Shawn delivered. I don't want to reveal the ending but the match had such an effect on Taker to the point where he showed more emotion towards Shawn that we've seen from "The Dead Man" before Shawn refused to go out without a fight. As what has been the case with most of the matches here, keep watching after the match as you got got a very emotional WrestleMania moment.WrestleMania XXVI[Best PPV Matches Of 2009-2010; Superstar Collection: Shawn Michaels; Undertaker: The Streak]WWE Champion John Cena vs. C.M. Punk - As everyone already knows, the big story here is that Punk made it clear that his contract expires that night & he planned on walking out of the company with the WWE Championship with Vince McMahon making it clear that he didn't want that to happen (think Survivor Series '97) & that John Cena would be fired if that took place. This is the first time I can remember John Cena being in such a hostile territory with the audience since ECW One Night Stand around 5 years earlier as the crowd was completely pro-C.M. Punk to the point where they were cheering for him before he ever came out while Cena didn't do his usual "play to the crowd/salute" entrance as he was all business by walking straight to the ring & holding up the championship while it should be noted that ex-NWA Champion & Punk's good friend Colt Cabana (who was in WWE for a short time as Scotty Goldman & the man Punk's been mentioning on TV in the past few weeks) was in the front row. Cena was greeted with "You Can't Wrestle" chants from the start & responded to it by actually doing wrestling such as reversing Punk's attempted at the Anaconda Vice into an armbar while coming to a stalemate with Punk at both escape attempts at an Attitude Adjustment & G.T.S. The chants from the crowd started to split & duel against each other which caused Booker T to reference "Rocky 4" of all things with when even Colt at ringside getting some small chants. Punk focused on Cena's neck reversing the A.A. into a DDT while later delivering a top rope kneedrop onto Cena's neck on the apron. There was a point where Punk attempted a crossbody block but mistimed it as Cena ended up hurting his knee while Punk's midsection as effected which Cena tried to capitalize on with an abdominal stretch. Both men went on to find unique counters to each others signature moves including a great series of counters that saw a flying crossbody, A.A., G.T.S., STF, and modified Anaconda Vice. While this was definitely one of Punk's best matches in WWE, the shock here was the fact that he pulled something out of John Cena that I honestly can't remember seeing out of him in a very long time...if EVER as the match went close to half an hour & Cena didn't "phone it in" like he's done for the last few PPV's. Definitely a highlight in WWE's history along with the careers of BOTH men involved here.Money In The Bank '11[Best PPV Matches Of 2011; C.M. Punk: Best In The World]No Disqualification/No Count Out Match: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar - Brock took Triple H into the corner & kept going for his previously injured arm early before Triple H was able to keep knocking Brock over the top rope which Brock responded by getting more serious taking off his fighting gloves. Brock dominated from here with a grounded punch right to the back of the head before targeting Triple H's arm with a hammerlock slam & stomps while also using whatever he could at ringside like the announce table & ring ropes & the steel steps before Triple H was able to find a weakness on Brock & work over that area. They really picked it up from here by countering each others signature moves from the Triple H's Pedigree to Brock's F5 & kimora lock before eventually one of them was caught with no way to escape. This was one of those types of matches where it wasn't bad at all as they told a good story focusing on injured body parts but it didn't live up to the hype as it didn't really come off as a "fight."SummerSlam '12[Best PPV Matches Of 2012; Brock Lesnar: Eat, Sleep, Conquor, Repeat]WWE Champion The Rock vs. John Cena - Both men started off with various stalemates early as each man was able to take the other man down before Cena whipped Rock hard into the corner where you saw it take an effect allowing Cena to ground Rock & keep him down with suplexes & slams. Momentum started to trade as both men knew each other so well from their previous match that they had a counter for each other's offense from the spinebuster to five knuckle shuffle to even submissions like the STF & sharpshooter as they continued to try to one up each other eventually hitting their moves after multiple attempts along with the strong finishers like the Rock Bottom & Attitude Adjustment before going back to trading fist & even stealing the other guys signature moves to the point where you saw a moment of "deva vu." I have to give credit & respect to both men as they've only had one other match against each other in their careers which was a year ago yet was able to come out & deliver a completely different match against each other that also played off the effects of the match a year earlier plus as we would later find out that The Rock got seriously injured early in the match to the point where he needed surgery yet still went so knowing that now, I'll give it more credit.WrestleMania XXIX[Best PPV Matches Of 2013; John Cena: Greatest Rivalies]No Holds Barred/Elimination Match: The Shield vs. Evolution - Before I get started, apparently "Bluetista" didn't get the memo on what to wear for this match as he stuck out like a bodybuilding smurf leading to the funniest WWE related trend I've ever seen on Twitter. This started right off the bat as a war with all six men fighting throughout the crowd & ringside area all the way to the stage before the action finally settled into the ring with each team having the same strategy of working over a member of the other team in their half of the ring either individually or through double & triple teaming with frequent tags with the action eventually breaking down once again into a huge brawl going all over the building with one man getting knocked out with what looked like a metal sheet while another body went through the spanish announce table to bodies were flying out of what seemed like nowhere including the top of the titantron along with bodies being punished with various weapons from chairs to kendo sticks. While the other matches on the card I described as physical or a brawl, this was both of those descriptions as both teams were evenly matched throughout the contest making this match & entire feud up to this point come off as an all-out war between both teams with the factor of when the eliminations happened along with who was & wasn't eliminated I didn't expect.Payback '14[Destruction Of The Shield]WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns - Brock powered Reigns into the corner followed by a suplex & F5 all in the first 30 seconds before he kept working him over with what Brock himself called "Suplex City B..." as Brock made it clear he was out to punish Reigns more than beat him such as suplexing him out of the ring only to suplex him back in only for Reigns to be bleeding from the mouth but laughing at the beating he was taking only to keep kicking out & giving back the punishment to the point where Brock was bleeding before it came down to one man taking advantage of the opportunity when it presented itself...just nobody expected WHO it was that took advantage. This match told a good story of Brock continuing to be the most dominate performer today while showing Reigns being so tough in not only taking a beating but delivering it right back while the ultimate winner showcased he was the smartest & an opportunist.WrestleMania 31[Best PPV Matches Of 2015; Brock Lesnar: Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat]Extreme Rules Match: WWE Champion Roman Reigns vs. A.J. Styles - Both men started feeling each other out with Roman having the power advantage while Styles had superior speed as the action couldn't be contained in the ring going throughout the crowd even to an area of the arena that we rarely see action at with all areas of ringside coming into play multiple times before settling back in the ring with both men having counters to the other's signature offense such as catching their opponent's in mid-air while also singling out different areas of the body in unique ways along with utilizing weapons & their alliances the best way possible in what was a hell of an awesome main event brawl.Extreme Rules '16[Best PPV Matches Of 2016; A.J. Styles: Most Phenomenal Matches]Hell In A Cell Match: RAW Womens Champion Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte - Both women had special entrances while it was noted that Sasha was in her hometown of Boston while Charlotte came into this match with a PPV undefeated streak of 14-0. This match literally started with a bang as one woman attacked her opponent during the introductions with the cell almost lowering down on her before before brawling through the crowd back around ringside with one woman's move being so impactful that her opponent was almost unable to continue before getting off the stretcher to officially start the match as Charlotte heavily focused on an injured area of the body through various impactful offense as both women used different tactics from submissions to using other weapons into the match to use in unique ways against their opponent including some that just refused to give & be broken while utilizing the cell & other areas of the ring including Sasha at one point channeling not only her hero in Eddie Guerrero but also a famous superhero at one point in a match that was just not just physical but also history in the making.Hell In A Cell '16[Best PPV Matches Of 2016; Then, Now, Forever: The Evolution Of WWEâs Womenâs Division]WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman - Brock put the stipulation on himself coming into this match that he & Paul Heyman would leave WWE if he lost the championship that featured various highlights & moments such as someone getting taken to "Suplex City" in the opening seconds followed by others as well, one man's domination to the point where he put Brock Lesnar in a position that we haven't seen before causing Corey Graves to say "Brock isn't being manhandled...he's being monster-handled", not only the ring but the environment on the outside being unable to contain all of the action with everyone using literally whatever they could get their hands on, one man forced to using tactics & maneuvers we haven't seen from him in a long time, series of rounds of trademark maneuvers to all of his opponents, series of counters & reversals into their own signature moves, and how it came down to one point just being able to catch another at the right time in what was a non-stop physical match from bell to bell.SummerSlam '17[Best PPV Matches 2017; 30 Years Of SummerSlam]Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan - It should be noted that this was a "Champion vs. Champion" match as RAW's Universal Champion against SmackDown's WWE Champion with Bryan winning the championship earlier in the week from A.J. Styles. Bryan was taunting Brock even before he made his entrance even trying a "stick & move" offense early on before Brock caught him & dominated to the point where they referee had to keep checking on Bryan with the announcers feeling uncomfortable with what they were watching & the crowd in "stunned silence" before Bryan used tactics that we only started recently seeing from him giving him an opening to keep Brock down & use his own momentum against him various times both in & outside of the ring to the point where Brock showed the effects which Bryan took advantage of in what started out as a slow methodical beat down but turned into a competitive match.Survivor Series '18RAW Womens Champion Ronda Rousey vs. SmackDown Womens Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch - It should be noted that Charlotte paid tribute to her dad with one of his memorable entrances while Joan Jett performed Ronda to the ring with "Bad Reputation." One woman made herself the odd woman out going after both opponents both in & outside of the ring in the opening minute causing both to retaliate on her before facing off with each other as multiple stories & highlights happened throughout the match such as the third opponent breaking up pin & submission attempts between the other two, all three utilizing the same strategy from applying different submissions to coming off the top off throughout the match either onto one or both opponents, delivering signature maneuvers with more impact than usual, taking advantage of the "no disqualification" stipulation using different areas of the ring & outside to their advantage, and of course the controversial ending in a great historic match.WrestleMania 35[WWE 24: Best Of 2019]WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre - This was the first PPV to happen under the "empty arena/corona virus/covid-19" era as Drew came out with a impactful move in the opening seconds only for Brock to take him to "suplex city" & attempt to put him away only for Drew to keep fighting back using Brock's own strategy against him in a match that was very short (under 5 minutes) & served it's purpose.WrestleMania 36As usual with these collections, there are some matches that I would have replaced with better quality encounters (HHH/Lesnar from 2012 with Rock/Cena or Cena/Lesnar from that same year, Rock/Cena from 2013 with Rock/Punk or Bryan/Cena from that same year, Drew/Brock with the Boneyard Match) put overall this is a good collection here. As usual with the influx of the network & reduction of DVD media over the past few years, I would only recommend this collection for those "collectors" who want a physical copy of these matches but otherwise this is a collection you can skip.

Review: Lifelong fan here but recently cancelled my network membership. Another lockdown's put me really jonesing for some good, exciting wrestling and entertainment, and this dvd set scratched that itch perfectly. Really great matches selected for this collection, I've spread out watching over three sittings (though you could surely crush both discs at once). Sure, as a knowledgeable fan, there's a bunch of matches I'd personally pick in a "best of" set, but this is a great balance. If you're in the mood to revisit some super exciting main events, without breaking the bank, this is a good addition to your collection.Absolute highlights include Undertaker vs HBK, Cena vs Punk, and Roman Reigns vs Brock Wrestlemania 31 (this one really ticks the boxes). I would have loved to have seen more of the women's division, but nitpick aside, this is am must if you want to kickback and just enjoy some great matches.
