Title: This book is essential for music theory fundamentals
Review: This book will help you read notes even if you struggled to learn how. You can use the exercises in the book to practice notes on both the treble clef and the bass clef. Learn music theory basics you either missed before or were never exposed to. This is the best music book I ever bought!

Title: Spiral bound book (contains vols 1-3) came with the 2 CDs fine
Review: There are a lot of different options in this Alfredâs series, and itâs possible that this particular page has received reviews for different options over time. I recently (October 2024) ordered the set titled:Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory: Complete, Book & 2 CDs Spiral-bound â May 1, 1998https://www.amazon.com/dp/0882849514?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThe book does have a nice spiral binding, and there were 2 CDs (which I believe is the entire âsetâ) in the back of the book. Everything was packed very well and delivered in great shape, which has been the case for almost all my orders from Amazon over time.I personally would have felt the need to have the CDs for this endeavor, so I would have probably purchased them separately if they were not contained in this package. It appears you can get them separately viaâ¦Essentials of Music Theory: Ear Training for Books 1 & 2 Audio CD â Audiobook, February 1, 1998Very glad everything in this package came as expected, and it was a great deal!

Title: Perfect prep for music theory exams
Review: I have been teaching music privately for about 10 years now. This is my go to music theory book that I include in all of my lessons. If students need additional music theory review, I use either piano adventures theory for kids four through six or master theory series.I definitely prefer these books and theyâre kind of hard to find at the local music store. If youâre looking to teach yourself how to read music, this is what I used back in the day and this is what I recommend. ð¥°

Title: Alfred's Utterly Confusing Line of Music Theory Books
Review: This is a good series if you are trying to learn music theory. The material is well organized, and clearly explained. Anyone can learn the essentials of music theory from these books.Unfortunately, the material is available in so many formats, you can get lost trying to figure out which version to buy.1st up, you can buy 3 separate books. Since each book is only about 40 pages long, this really doesn't make that much sense. Also, you are going to want the ear training CDs. There are only 2 CDs for the 3 books. and you have to buy them as a complete set.So, you want to buy all the material at once. That brings us to this collection, which contains the text from all three books, but lacks the CDs.As I mentioned, the CDs are available separately, but if you could buy the book plus the CDs as a single package, you could save a little bit over purchasing both items separately. But, where is this all-in-one package? You might expect this to be called "Alfred's Essential of Music Theory Complete (Books 1 - 3 plus Ear Training CDs)."Alas, it is not. It's called "Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory: A Complete Self-Study Course for All Musicians (Book & 2 CDs)", and you can find it on Amazon here:http://www.amazon.com/Alfreds-Essentials-Music-Theory-Self-Study/dp/0739036351/ref=sip_rech_dp_10This version also appears to have the Answer Key (which you would have to purchase separately, for even more money, if you wanted to check the answers to the quizzes). I say "appears" because I foolishly purchased this version of the product, along with the separate CDs. But glancing at the Table of Contents of the other edition has convinced me that it includes the Answer Key as well.To summarize: this material is well worth buying, but there are too many ways to purchase it. Do yourself a favor, and buy the Complete Self-Study Course, not this edition.

Review: I wish it had contained the CD which was supposed to be part of the lessons. Other than that, I'm very happy.

Title: So far so good
Review: The book arrived on time in perfect condition. I'm about a third of the way through the book and have found it very helpful and informative. Being a middle aged guy whose played music all his life but had limited understanding of theory, this book seems great for beginners of any instrument and the CD ear training is a nice touch. Good stuff!

Title: The best elemetary way to learn music theory
Review: I am a piano teacher, and this product does wonders. I have never agreed with the "Play first, then learn" method, because it emphasizes the ear rather than the eye; the eye is essential if not the only thing a musician has to comprehend and survey a musical text.I use this text in conjunction with other groups of works (like Bartok's "Mikrokosmos") to teach how to play piano music. This book certainly goes through things in a concise and easy to understand way. Even though this is a method for adults, it works even better for kids! The best part about this book is that it is in a very palpable format; it serves musical theory in bite-size chunks and then reviews with very decent exercises. There are reviews and ear training as well. I have had several students finish this book, and they all have a firm grasp of music theory and can learn to play any instrument they would like... So what I have done with this method book is to teach students how to be "professional musicians," rather than "amateur pianists."

Long délai de livraison. Pensez à acheter ces items chez un autre détaillant.
