Title: Easy to Install
Review: This protective film is pretty thick. I like this protective film. It seems nice & strong. Just clean your window well, wet the window, apply the film and squidgy the air bubbles out. Once installed properly, it is hard to see and can keep someone from just busting through. Although it won't completely keep someone out, it will certainly slow them down.A solid 4 Stars

Title: An excellent security film for entry door glass
Review: This film is super easy to install. It adheres to the glass very well. It does not seem super thick.. There were no bubbles for my installation so I would say it with ease. It seems to be good quality.

Title: very difficult to install but reasonably effective
Review: A few years back, I accepted a home appointement with a certain replacement windows company. While I was highly impressed by their Crookes radiometer (google it) demonstration of the UV blocking capabilities of their product, the high project cost deterred me from continuing. Deep in the back of my mind, I've been mulling how else to cut down on the heat and floor-damaging UV coming into the house through glass doors and windows. Enter this product. I had high hopes of addressing this need without dropping thousands and thousands of dollars. So I have given it a shot.First off, this product came with no instructions whatsoever. I did some background research and came to understand it is meant to be applied in similar fashion to other window glass films. One side of the roll has an adhesive property and that side is covered with a removable clear film. You may need to use scotch tape to get a grip on the peel away layer. Take care to pull it away slowly as it has a tendency to rip in an irregular pattern.Make sure the glass is clean. As with other films, you need to use a generous spray of soapy water applied to both the film and the glass to get it to stick. I tried with just water, and while it initially appeared to work, those sections of film eventually began to peel away from the window. Some actualy fell off completely.Line up the film carefully with the window edge; if it's not exactly parallel then it will either overlap the sill or leave uncovered glass. That is quite difficult but you should eventually get the hang of it.Next up, you will need to squeegee out the water. This was quite a bit of work as there are going to be bubbles everwhere. You may eventually learn how to apply this with few bubbles but I did not get there.I managed to work out most of the large clear bubbles but found there were still tons of areas with tiny white bubbles. That is the soap (I used dish soap). Which is why I tried applying with plain water for a bit. The soap is apparently what keeps the film firmly attached to the glass, so plain water simply does not work.Going back to the small soapy bubbles, I used a plastic spatula to pull those towards the edges of the glass / edge of the film and that worked to get rid of them. This took quite a bit of time and effort. The finished result is just ok. Wife thought it made for a bit of an "Impressionistic style" of view through the glass - in other words, slightly blurry and distored. There are crater marks from collapsed bubbles, and scrape marks from the squeegee before I switched over to the spatula. Not great.Nevertheless, it does work to some extent at least. The interior temp feels cooler inside of the glass with film vs. untreated glass. I would prefer if it cut more of the heat but I must admit it is an improvement. Enough to not immediately rip it back off and trash it.In terms of final appearance, I would call it marginal to barely acceptable. I would not be willing to buy a lot more of this film if this is best result which can be achieved by a do-it-yourself-er. Perhaps better technique and/or more practice would yield better results, but I am skeptical at this point. I can't recommend this product.

Title: RockRose UV 99% Clear Security and Safety 8 Mil Window Film (24 in x 10 FT)
Review: Installing the RockRose 8 Mil Window Film was kind of like trying to tame an angry jellyfishâit just did not want to cooperate. But after a lot of patience, I got it on my window. Itâs supposed to be shatterproof, but since Iâm not about to start smashing my own windows like a rockstar, I canât really confirm that. It looks sturdy and gives a bit of extra peace of mind, but the installation felt like a workout I didnât sign up for.

Title: Fogged up and fell apart after one month - do not recommend
Review: I purchased this UV 99% Security and Safety Window Film to add some extra protection to the windows on my back patio. Before applying it to all the windows, I wisely decided to do a test first. I cut a 12" x 12" piece of plexiglass and applied the film to it, then placed the plexiglass out on my back driveway where it gets intense direct sunlight. After just one month, I was extremely disappointed by the results. The film had gotten so fogged up that I could barely see through it anymore. It had also started separating and peeling off the plexiglass, despite the fact that this film is supposed to adhere extremely well and be difficult to remove.I am so glad I tested this product before applying it to all my windows. Based on the poor durability and short lifespan I observed, I would have been really upset if I had gone through the effort of putting this on all my patio windows, only to have it fog up and fall apart a month later. This product may claim to provide UV protection and shatter resistance, but it clearly can't withstand direct sunlight for even a short period of time without degrading significantly. I absolutely cannot recommend this window film and strongly caution others against purchasing it unless you want to replace it every month. Spend your money on a higher-quality, more durable product instead.

Title: Seems good, if you know what you're doing
Review: Installing window films is always a bit hit-or-miss; there's some skill to it and some art to it so you don't end up with creases and bubbles. With the 8mil thick film, creases are unlikely but you've got to be careful and methodical to avoid bubbles.Given that - it would have been really nice if the film came with instructions, and maybe a squeegee. The manufacturer seems to sell the squeegees as independent products but tossing a cheap one in the box would have been a huge improvement. If you've never done this before, you're going to want to find/buy a tool for application or you will definitely have bubbles. All of that said - so far the clarity seems good and the durability seems good - no scratches or fogging in my application yet. I installed it on the interior of the window and I gather that it's not appropriate for installing on the exterior.I haven't tried whacking my window with a hammer but the film does feel thick and strong when applying it so I'd believe that it'll last.
