The top design of the ball is not easy to damage other parts, and it is durable.
This 2 jaw puller has a hidden feature - the little protrusions at each end of the bar are actually spring-loaded detents so the jaws won't slip off the ends of the bar until you're ready to remove them. This feature makes the cavity in the jaws just the right size so they won't cant one way or the other too much. put a drop of motor oil on each button and pressed down several times so they are lubricated. Before using lubricated the entire length of the screw as well as the bottom end with bearing grease and ran the screw back and forth a couple times to make sure the threads were as lubricated as possible. Worked great!

Title: Good for tight places
Review: This thing worked really well. My air compressor seized up when the oil leaked out of the compressor. The connecting arm was seized to the shaft, I used this to reach inside the compressor and remove the arm from the shaft without doing a complete tear down. made life very easy.

Title: Not sure if I overloaded the tool but I broke it
Review: I broke the jaws tip on it, I've used to pull all the bearings on my transfer case and now I started on the transmission and it sadly broke off. Seems like great quality and it work just fine this whole time. Not sure like I said if it was me or the puller.

Title: Sweet cheap puller
Review: Got this to try and get newer gm pitman arms pulled off the gear. Most pitman pullers aren't wide enough. Since this was so cheap and went as wide as it did I figures I'd give it a shot. Have used for the purpose I intended it for and it worked which made me happy. Since then I have used it on other things that require a specific type of puller that this just happens to work for, most recently BMW control arm bushings. I am honestly impressed. Only downside is that since the hooks free float on the center bar getting everything lined up and centered can be a bit frustrating. Once it's in place tho.. I dig it.
