Title: A Great Replacement for an Old School Outdoor Antenna
Review: Thank you to Five Star This outdoor HDTV Antenna is awesome. I needed to replace a Twenty year oldantenna it was in very bad shape, broken plastic connectors and some bent parts. I found the Five StarHDTV Outdoor Antenna I was looking for range and lightweight. I was not receiving a couple of my locals channels. Taking down the old one was a little tricky it had some weight and it was very wide, then installing The Five Star Antenna was very easy, the assembly was very easy the instructions were very easy to follow and the pictures were large. The bolts and wingnuts and everything else you need to assemble the antenna were all packaged in plastic bags nothing was missing. Once I got the antenna mounted and secured with wire anchors it gets windy where I live during the fall. I went inside my homerescanned all my televisions, Wow! The signals were very strong I was getting all my local channels crystal clear and great picture and sound. The price is right on point, 5 Stars!! 10 out of 10!! Thank you to Five Star and Thank you to Amazon

Title: works well considering our area
Review: This antenna was easy to put together and attached to our pole setup easily. NO swearing from my husband!!!! Considering the area we are located in, we received more channels than expected, but not nearly as many as mentioned in the ad. Which we are okay with that because the local news channels are the ones received. We receive a total of 12 different channels. Bad weather reception gives only 4 to 5 channels. The purchase cost was equal to about one month of satellite. Will miss some of my favorite shows though..

Title: Good antenna for the price
Review: This antenna performs fairly well mounted in the attic of my house. My house sits in a valley with hills several hundred feet high on each side. With this antenna, I can receive two commercial local stations located 6 and 26 miles away on VHF channels 7 and 9 with good signal strength and picture quality. I cannot receive a low-power PBS station 28 miles away on VHF channel 6. A nearby hill blocks the weak signal. The nearest UHF stations are 50+ miles away and I cannot receive any of them. At my location, I'm not sure any antenna could receive those UHF stations without a tall outdoor tower.I rated the antenna 4 stars because of the quality of the assembly hardware: screws, wingnuts, etc. I don't think the screws and wingnuts will last very long in outdoor locations. The screws are rather small, would probably rust within a couple of years and eventually fail in high winds. Since my antenna is mounted in my attic, this isn't a concern for me. If I was mounting this antenna outdoors, I'd replace the furnished screws and wingnuts with stainless steel ones from my local hardware store. The antenna elements and plastic components appear to be well made. The assembly instructions to be fairly easy to follow and assembly wasn't difficult.

Title: Good prodct
Review: This was a great purchase. I am using it in of the broadcast towers are located in a spread of about 10° of separation roughly 45 miles away as the crow flies. There is one moutain with a rise of about 2,500' from my location in the line of site. They do not adversely effect my reception. I have one tower located about 100° towards the rear for of the antenna. It is about 5 miles away on another mountain about 3,000' above me. It picks it up as well, I believe because of how close it is. I am receiving 60 channels. Using a flat amplified indoor antenna, I was at about 26.About my installation, I used my DirectTV mount on my second story roof after removing the old dish. I used this as opposed to the rather flimsy mount that came with the unit. I used the satellite wiring that ran into the home. One important note, you MUST remove any satellite splitters in the line, they are not compatible for OTA use. You can replace it with a standard barrel connector if running to a single TV. If running to multiple sets use either a standard Cable TV splitter or the one that may have come with your antenna purchase. I used a Spectrum Cable spliter that was in an unused cable line on mine.I did as instructed in the installation instructions and tested before installation. It worked fine, I actually gained channels when I roof mounted it though. This antenna has a pretty good gain rating of 11db on VHF channels. I have a mix of VHF and UHF here and performs well on each.As far as my Cable run. The main line runs from the antenna on the 2nd floor roof down to the foundation to the opposite side of the home to the cable/satellite junction box on the other end of the house. This is where I placed a 2 port splitter. One line runs back to the living room where the set is on the ground floor. This is a total run of approximately 80'. The second line runs to a mother-in-law cottage out back. This run has aa total length in excess of 175'. There is a bit of signal loss on this line. The result being the station being broadcast from one of the low power towers is unwatchable. No negative effect on any of the other stations.I doubt that is antenna actually will pickup stations beyond 75~90 miles unless you are on very flat terrain, but in the situation I am using it, the performance is great. Will update in the future if anything changes.

Some are also happy with the picture quality, build quality, and clarity. However, some customers have mixed opinions on reception and functionality.
