Title: A big surprise!
Review: I say this was a big surprise because I got worried after I ordered the product, and I saw that this item was frequently returned. It is working well beyond expectations. After seeing that it was returned a lot in the reviews, my expectations were not very high. But I am thrilled with the quality of the product. The picture is clear and I have not experienced any channels dropping or anything like that. Whoever made this product designed it to work nicely with an LG TV. It almost seems like this product was made for it. The setup was super easy, and I have not run into any problems.

Title: Works great for an older TV with a separate tuner box for OTA channels
Review: Bought this in conjunction with a separate tuner box to get OTA channels on an older TV with a crappy built in tuner. Worked great and picked up a few dozen OTA channels with a strong signal on all the main channels, so can't complain.

Title: If you don't have cable and just need something to run on your TV this is a good bet.
Review: I recently upgraded my entire multimedia center in my bedroom and was looking to find my Panasonic 32 inch LED (1080p) a suitable home where it would be put to good use. Its a good TV and still in prime condition and after 5+ years of flawless service, I was not satisfied to just sell it off for a little extra cash in my pocket willy nilly. It took a while but eventually one of my regular patrons (sweet middle aged lady) let slip that she has been living without a TV for almost 4 years. Unfortunately, her modest earnings barely allows her to afford cable and living in the basement makes it hard for the built in Tuner to catch any signals.Enter this Digital Antenna, I have owned a few of these over time when I first cut my cord and I can say reliably that they work as advertised. As soon as you connect it to the TV and scan, you will get at least 40 digital channels to view. Your entertainment mileage may vary as most of the channels tend to be basic news or Spanish channels that may or maynot have dual audio. However, for someone living on a phone, this was a big step up and she has been enjoying the access. The item arrived next day as advertised and very good condition. Packaging has become an issue as of late it seems for many but I have been very fortunate so far as I never had to worry about any of my orders being damaged in anyway and has always been reliable. The package came with all the basic necessities to get you all set up right away. While it did come with an instruction manual you have to be real special to actually need it to set up anything. If you have set up your TV before, this is a no brainer. You have the choice to directly connect to the antennae but if the signal is not clear/weak you can attach the provided amplifier that might improve the quality of the signal. Its always best to have the flat head of the device facing towards the winow or preferable outwards towards the nearest towers direction. This might require you to move the antenna around a bit till the picture is consistent.Since this only has access to a coaxial cable (cable jack), picture quality might be limited to 1080i @ 30 Hz. This is more than enough for regular TV, those looking for something with higher fidelity should look for devices that have HDMI + ports for 1080p @60 and above. Also when scanning, you should opt to skip the analog channels as cable went digital collectively around the 2010 and you will find nothing on there. Its a waste of time unless you have some UHF capability and even then its a gamble. The digital scanning will atumatically set up the 40+ channels available in you area and you should be good to go.Unfortunately its not perfect and despite the best location you will occasionally have to deal with artifacts and degredation quality depending on the weather outside. Strong winds and rain will definitely affect quality. While the antennae head is purported to be water proof the radio frequencies are not and will interfere. You best bet is to position it as high towards the ceiling by the window pref inside but better chances tend to be outside of the wall. Its been a week or so and when I ran into the lady she was very greateful for the TV and forced a couple of dollars into my hand. I told her it was never about money and tried to give it back to her but she wouldn't hear it and walked out the door before I could give it back to her.

Title: Don't waste your money. Buy a Mohu Leaf instead.
Review: I have two TVs in two different rooms in my house. The main TV has a Mohu Leaf 50 HDTV Thin Indoor Antenna (Certified Refurbished) that I purchased on Amazon in 2014. The other TV has not had an antenna until now. (We use the second TV rarely, and only for playing DVDs.)On my primary TV, my Mohu Leaf 50 antenna receives several channels, including very reliable reception of channels whose transmitters are located at the following distances from my house: 6 miles, 23 miles, 32 miles, and 44 miles. It also gets mostly reliable reception of a channel that broadcasts from about 55 miles from my house, though sometimes I have to move the antenna just a bit in order to get a good signal on that channel. For the second TV, I wanted an antenna that would at least get the two channels we watch most often, which are the channels that transmit from 6 miles and 23 miles away (i.e., the two closest transmitters to our house). So I decided to save a few bucks by purchasing this Vansky 50-mile HDTV antenna instead of buying another Mohu Leaf -- thinking that surely the Vansky antenna would at least provide reliable reception for these two closest TV channels, and that perhaps it would pick up one or two other channels as well.Unfortunately, I was wrong. When I first hooked up the Vansky antenna, I was able to get all the channels that I can get with my Mohu Leaf, except for the one that is over 50 miles away. But I found that the reception was not reliable. Even if I would locate just the right spot where all the channels would come in, I would find that a few minutes later the antenna would get only one channel or no channels in that exact same spot. I tried several different spots with the same results: Reception would be good one minute, and poor the next -- even on the channels whose transmitters are closest. Now, since these two TVs are in different rooms, you might think that the problem is where I'm locating the antenna, not the antenna itself. I thought the same thing, at first. So I did an apples-to-apples comparison in both rooms: First, I disconnected my Mohu Leaf antenna from my primary TV, and connected the Vansky antenna in its place, making sure to place the Vansky antenna in exactly the same spot where I normally put my Mohu Leaf antenna. I found that the Vansky antenna received several channels, but it could not receive the channel that broadcasts from 23 miles away (one of the two channels I want to receive, and the second closest to my house). Even if I moved the antenna around, it was very difficult to find a spot where that particular channel would come in. (But I know from experience that I could put my Mohu Leaf just about anywhere in that same room, and it would receive that channel with no problems.)Next, I hooked up my Mohu Leaf antenna to my secondary TV, and put it in one of the locations where the Vansky antenna had proven unreliable earlier. Without even needing any trial and error to find just the right location for the antenna, I was immediately able to get all the same channels that I get with my Mohu Leaf on my primary TV, even the channel that broadcasts from about 55 miles away.In conclusion, this Vansky antenna just doesn't get the job done the way that the Mohu Leaf does, even for a channel that transmits from only 23 miles away. I am returning the Vansky antenna to Amazon for a refund, and I will be buying another Mohu Leaf instead. At the time I purchased the Vansky antenna, the Amazon reviews were mostly positive, but I still should have known better than to try my luck on a cheap knock-off. Buyer beware.Update: I bought another refurbished Mohu Leaf 50 shortly after I wrote this review, and hooked it up to my second TV. We have used the Mohu Leaf for several months now, with no problems at all. It works great, and it never loses the signal the way that the Vansky antenna constantly did.

Title: It is good, but you cannot watch all channels mentioned on the box.
Review: I bought and installed this antenna and everything was good and smooth. Easy to install and you can see a lot of channels, but unfortunately not all the channels mentioned on the box can be watched. I couldn't watch Univision because the antenna doesn't catch it. I don't know why. I went on line to DTV Reception Maps website, and it says in my location Univision has a strong signal to be catched. However, I have tried all I can think of, but the antenna is not working for that specific channel which is the main reason I bought it. I don't know if I'm missing something.

Review: I bought an 8 bay multidirectional antenna to put in the attack for a couple hundred bucks. This $30 window antenna gets 3 times the channels. Very impressive. From J2W2Z3 I get all the local French and English channels plus ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX. No PBS unfortunately.
