1. Can the base come off? Looking to hang it on my wall

No. The base is a integral part of the eyeglass stand and will not come off by itself. Since the base has relatively large area of support, you can use either a L-bracket and attach the stand to the bracket and the bracket screwed to the wall. Or simply use a wall candle holder of some kinds to attach the artsy to the wall. I personally suggest the wall candle holder option and it looks really good on the wall.

2. Will these hold any size prescription glasses - even small ones - meaning they are not size of sunglasses - just regular bifocals?

The face glasses holder is designed to support any sized frame from the points of nose pads and arm. Sizes of prescription glasses will not interfere but losing one nose pad will knock eyeglasses out of balance.

3. Can I hang two eyeglasses on it?

No, each stand is designed to only support one pair of eye glasses, unlike sunglasses display rack. But if you have a important pair of expensive sunglasses to showcase in you shop, you are more than welcome to try artsy holder as it'll gravitate the attention onto the sunglasses.

4. Am I able to paint it, or do you take orders for this item in other colors?

Yes, we suggest you to clean the surface with some soapy water first and thoroughly wipe clean before applying any paint. Applying primer always help paint to stay but is not required. Oil based acrylic paint adheres to the surface better and will last longer with no peeling.

5. Can I attach a personalized engraving plate and if yes, what size of plate should I get?

Yes, though we don't offer engraving service, but adding a personalized engraving plate is easy and for sure means a lot to the recipient. We recommend the plate size no more than 2-3/4"L x 1/2"W. Material of the plate doesn't quite matter as it will usually require a double-sided adhesive on the back. But copper plated metal with black background always stand out as the best with white background.

If you are not into the porcelain white appearance you can add color. A little color for lipstick, an all over color to match skin tones. I imagine artists adding beautiful designs, teens giving them a tie dye look or stickers that can be changed up. It’s going to be my go to gift this year.
