The ATH-M20x professional monitor headphones have long provided a great introduction to our critically acclaimed M-Series. Now you can take that classic M20x studio sound with you wherever you go! Featuring powerful 40 mm drivers, the ATH-M20xBT wireless over-ear headphones deliver the same sonic signature as the wired model, with full-range, high-fidelity audio and enhanced bass. But they also give you the convenience of a Bluetooth wireless connection and have multipoint pairing capability that lets you connect wirelessly to two devices at once. Plus, there’s a low latency mode that improves the synchronicity between audio and video for smooth streaming and gaming. The M20xBT headphones provide up to 60 hours of continuous use on a full charge and up to 3 hours of use on a 10-minute rapid charge (via USB-C connection). The headphones are easy to operate with a microphone and buttons built into the left earcup for convenient handling of calls, music playback, and volume control. We’ve also included a 1.2 m (3.9") cable so you can use M20xBT like a standard pair of wired headphones, when desired.

Title: Mediocre, or no?
Review: This is about the M20xBT, but I'll begin with my feelings about the M50 model. I've owned a pair of ATH-M50 headphones (with built in cable) for about 7 years and I've become a bit fed with it, why? Comfortability & price. That model does squeeze against my head, and presses against parts of my ears because the pads are thick. I can't stand to wear them for more than ~30 minutes max before I feel like taking them off. The sound however was good. Not terrific or outstanding but it's good. I like the M50xbt model even less, and I don't even own those. The regular ATH-M50 cost roughly $70-$80 in 2017. And now a bluetooth model costs about $180. Because the bluetooth needs to be $100 more. lmao.So I wanted to try the ATH-M20xBT. These headphones are just about perfect for me at nearly every angle I can currently think of. I can literally call these "over ear" headphones because these don't press against my ears at all. The pads are just the right thickness; the contour of their design nests comfortably around my own ears. The materials don't weigh a lot, they sit light and comfortably on my head. I don't grow fatigued with them like other headphones that clamp hard against the skull. Before I knew it I was wearing these for more than an hour multiple times. They're just really comfortable to wear. The price was on point. If you're not an audiophile and have an opportunity to buy these for $60-$70 or even less, do try them. Try not to waste your money on these @ $80+Sound is servicable, it's good. Not top of the line outstanding quality for the price range, but if you like a bit of bass you would enjoy these. They become even better if you have access to an audio app with built in equalizer settings. The material construction is also serviceable and don't bother with these if you dislike exposed wires, but I don't mind them. Take care of them like any other headphones and they are likely to last a while.

Title: Audio Technica will not be able to sell their higher end headphones after this release
Review: I'll save most of you the trouble of reading through my ramblings. For $79 or lower, these M20xBT's cannot be beat. Clear AT sound with slightly more bass. Not neutral like the M50's, but a more consumer sound profile.I have been a fan of Audio Technica for decades and have been in the market for a set of BT over-ear headphones to use at work. Due to the lackluster reviews online, I went with some cheap knockoff brands for a while. The knockoffs had decent bass without seeming too fake, weak mids, but decent highs. I do not expect too much for BT headphones so was fairly satisfied.I recently went to Japan and because of the respect they have for each other in society, the big box electronic stores have many, many headphones out for demo. They even have disposable sleeves if you want to try out earbuds, though they continue to have those behind the counter. So I was standing in front of a display with close to 100 headphones all charged and ready to be connected via BT or wire. I have been eyeing the AT WS990BT Solid Bass for a while now since I know when they think bass, AT does not mean the kind of bass like the 12" JL W7 in my trunk. I did not have time to play with the EQ on my phone and I used Spotify to recreate my work environment. The sound was weak. Completely not what I was expecting from a headphone with "Solid Bass" in its name. Since these are BT, they will not be connected to an amp so that is all there is. I then tried the WS660BT and ANC700BT and did not like either one. The USD was at its peak against the JPY when I was there so the WS990 were super cheap and I wanted to keep browsing, but decided to go drinking instead.I started seeing reviews for the M20xBT AFTER I got back from Japan. I stayed away from the M50xBT because I know what the wired M50's sound like and it was not what I wanted at work. I listen to mostly indie/EDM/hip hop/80's at work and rarely switch to classical or singer/songwriter. I saw one review on the M20's about a little bit stronger bass with a "V" sound profile. Sold!Even if you never played with an EQ before, you will immediately understand what a "V" profile means when you put these on. Clean and decent lows and bright highs. The mids are not missing, just not as as strong as the highs and lows. Peter Hook's basslines sound just fine on these. So does Masta Ace "Born to Roll". Also Satie and Liszt.Give these headphones a shot. They are inexpensive and should meet the needs of most consumers. Definitely a better buy than anything from Bose or Sony, unless you absolutely must have Active Noise Cancelling. The M20's are good enough to block out almost all office noises.Almost forgot to mention I did change out the earcups as I do with all my over the ear headphones. I went with GVOears this time and was impressed. Slightly less than Brainwavz, but I like the material that touches my skin much more than velour.

Review: The sound was good for a set costing around this amount. I picked mine up during a sale so I'm satisfied with the value. I cant judge how they'll fit on you but i have a medium/large head and they fit me fine. The earcups were large enough cup my ears without pinching. I've worn them for a two hour session outside.Battery life is rated at 60 hours which is really good., In low latency mode, my PC reported 58ms of lag (3 frames if watching video/gaming at 60fps). Without low latency mode lag was 180ms (unusable for games or watching video). Wired mode worked fine, though i wish the cable was longer for home use (it is a standard cable though so it can be swapped). Cable is perfect for using with a phone.
