Getting a reading is simple:

Place finger in device and press power button. After scanning, a reading will be displayed; the left number is the SPO2 (blood oxygen saturation) level and the right number is the pulse rate.

Does this read blood pressure? This does not read blood pressure. The FL400 reads your SPO2 and pulse rate (heartbeat). What is the max heart rate? The BPM range for the FL400 IS 30-240BPM. Can I run with this on? It is not recommended for running with the FL400 since it hangs on your finger. Can children use the device? The FL400 works with all ages but users with smaller fingers may face difficulties. Help! My device won’t turn on. The device’s battery configuration is misleading; the batteries should be inserted following the ‘+’ and ‘-’ on the bottom of the battery input area with the positive end of one of the batteries pointing to the spring.

Review: I have to start out saying that I am a telemetry RN. I always have extra pulse oximeters with me to give out to elderly people I come across in my personal life. These are so small, portable and versatile. When I am going patient teaching at work, I am finding out that most people don’t know how to check their own heart rate to make sure it’s safe to take their heart medication at home. You can use them during your workouts to check your heart rate. For physical therapy to see how well someone is tolerating the activity. Great for this pandemic we are having for when someone is tested positive and needs to check oxygen levels to know when to go to the ER. And anyone with asthma, emphysema should have one. Also anyone with heart issues and on medication to control the heart rhythm. I have notice that people are wanting to get their elderly family members Apple watches just for the EKG aspect. The Apple EKG component is very limited and not a true EKG. You mostly need to know if the heart rate is irregular, too fast, or too slow . This pulse oximeter can do the same thing for pennies to the dollar of the Apple Watch that costs hundreds of dollars. Plus, most of the older generation is not going to learn how to use the Apple Watch. Get this instead.

Review: My old one gave out and I tried this as a replacement. I travel quite a bit and the carrying case is great for that as well as keeping it safe at home. It is accurate when checked against my doctors machines and I love the big bright numbers
