INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
An Instant Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Indie Bestseller
“This book is for any parent who has ever struggled under the substantial weight of caregiving—which is to say, all of us. Good Inside is not only a wise and practical guide to raising resilient, emotionally healthy kids, it’s also a supportive resource for overwhelmed parents who need more compassion and less stress. Dr. Becky is the smart, thoughtful, in-the-trenches parenting expert we’ve been waiting for!”—Eve Rodsky, New York Times bestselling author of Fair Play and Find Your Unicorn Space
Dr. Becky Kennedy, wildly popular parenting expert and creator of @drbeckyatgoodinside, shares her groundbreaking approach to raising kids and offers practical strategies for parenting in a way that feels good.
Over the past several years, Dr. Becky Kennedy—known to her followers as “Dr. Becky”—has been sparking a parenting revolution. Millions of parents, tired of following advice that either doesn’t work or simply doesn’t feel good, have embraced Dr. Becky’s empowering and effective approach, a model that prioritizes connecting with our kids over correcting them.
Parents have long been sold a model of childrearing that simply doesn’t work. From reward charts to time outs, many popular parenting approaches are based on shaping behavior, not raising humans. These techniques don’t build the skills kids need for life, or account for their complex emotional needs. Add to that parents’ complicated relationships with their own upbringings, and it’s easy to see why so many caretakers feel lost, burned out, and worried they’re failing their kids. In Good Inside, Dr. Becky shares her parenting philosophy, complete with actionable strategies, that will help parents move from uncertainty and self-blame to confidence and sturdy leadership.
Offering perspective-shifting parenting principles and troubleshooting for specific scenarios—including sibling rivalry, separation anxiety, tantrums, and more—Good Inside is a comprehensive resource for a generation of parents looking for a new way to raise their kids while still setting them up for a lifetime of self-regulation, confidence, and resilience.

Title: Must read.
Review: I really donât do âself helpâ books, but I wanted some professional parenting guidance that aligned with my familyâs values and boy did I find it â and MORE. This book did more than give me scripts for difficult moments and a better understanding of my sonâs inner world. Itâs been equally helpful with ALL of my relationships, with my son, my spouse, my friends, colleagues, and even my patients. I feel stronger having read this as a mom, a wife, and a friend. Highly recommend.

Title: A parenting book that applies to everyone in your life
Review: Dr. Becky Kennedy's book was recommended to me from a fellow parent who knows we've been struggling with behavioral issues with out little one. From that parent's description alone I jumped in with both feet and I'm so glad I did!As a parent struggling with a child having behavioral issues at school I have never felt so seen, I was in tears when I realized that this is normal and there is a way to move past it. This book spoke to me in a way no other book or person has been able to. I felt many times Dr. Becky was writing about my life and experiences withe my little one, but she also gave solid reasoning to why we're seeing the behaviors and how to work through it. She addressed common issues from every side, giving parents the ability to understand and help you be more empathetic as well as helping you see a path forward.I also love how she incorporated relationships with the other people in your life and showed how her core concepts can be applied across the board with any relationship.

Title: Maybe the most impactful book youâll ever read.
Review: Everything I ever wanted to articulate about my parenting ideals - and so much more. Easy to read. Practical advice. Translates outside of parenting in many ways, too. Respectful. Effective. Compassionate. This is my top recommendation for parenting books.

Review: I often read parenting books and find stuff applicable to the work environment. This book explains the connection on childhood and adulthood an how they correlate. It goes over how two things are true when talking about feelings, which is so important to understand. Its such a good book it became my favorite parenting book and I want it on audible to listen to it yearly and refresh the concepts.

Review: I'm a grandmother and having brought two children a long time ago- thought I'd have a look at what one of today's modern methods is recommending. Admittedly, I've only read a few chapters so far, but even the few I've read have so much to offer in the minefield of parenting. I'm loving it. I love her positive approach and will definitely try and use it with my young grandchildren. I never liked the idea of the introduction of the so-called, 'naughty step' - and neither does Dr Kennedy. She has much better suggestions to make. I recommend this book to anyone who mindful of all the pitfalls there are - when interacting with young children these days - hesitates and dithers or avoids contact altogether. Once you read Dr Kennedy's point of view and the advice and guidance she offers, your mind will be opened and you will feel more confident and have a brilliant set of strategies to apply. Above all, this game changing expert, is humble and admits she doesn't get it right all the time either!
