An old abandoned hospital haunted by the ghost of a serial killer. A group of friends too curious for their own good. An old man hiding a secret. The old and vacant Saint Vincent Hospital is said to be haunted by the ghost of David Henry Coleman, the notorious serial killer known as The Mangler. Coleman died on the fourth floor after being shot by police. For Brandon and his friends, their curiosity gets the best of them as they explore the dark halls despite ‘Old Man’ Jake’s warnings. No one knows of Jake’s past connection to the serial killer and the hospital. Now, on the anniversary of The Mangler’s death, a group of high school kids are planning a private party on the haunted fourth floor. Jake must keep everyone out and protect them from the true evil that lurks on Floor Four, while Brandon falls deeper into the Mangler’s supernatural world. If you like your scares with a twist of the twilight zone, then you’ll love Floor Four’s take on the supernatural. Grab your free copy and walk the haunted halls today! ‘A loud bang was heard from above, scaring the boys. They shined their lights up the stairwell. The sounds of chains rattling on the floor stirred the dust above. Something or someone was up there. Doug, hiding his fear, took two more steps up. Brandon and Kyle looked at him, their feet locked in place. They had no intention of going any further.’

Title: Great find!! Very happy this book showed up on my recommended list!
Review: Very good read. Really kept my interest throughout the entire story. About a third of the way through the story, I stopped and checked to see if there where any other books by this author. I saw that two more books waiting and bought them as well. I hope to see more from this author soon. His writing style reminds me of Koontz, Lee, Lutz, and Konrath. This author is on my too watch list for sure..

Title: Good Story Worth Reading!
Review: The cover of Floor Four by A. Lopez Jr. looked creepy enough and I love paranormal stories so figured I would give this author a try and I wasn't really that disappointed. It was a little slow in parts and repetitive while other parts were a little confusing but the plot was good and it had plenty of twists and turns to keep me interested.I won't recap the story as you can read what the author wrote for the book description for yourself but to me it seemed like the author concentrated more on the plot then on the development of the characters. They were developed enough to understand who and what is happening but I really didn't feel any connection with any of them. This didn't stop me from enjoyed the story though. There was a few typos but they were easily overlooked and it really didn't take away from the story. I loved the way the author ended it! Although this isn't what I would rate as 5 stars, I still do think it is a good story and worth reading.

Title: It's ok if you're passing time.
Review: The overall story was enjoyable, and I use the term loosely. The style of the writing is easy to read, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. It's extremely simplistic. It reads like this was someone's side project just to pass time until the next eventful thing came to there life. To add to it, the moments are predictable with the exception of one, and even that one could've been expanded into a huge section of story to pull the reader in further. I am very much a horror fanatic so that could be the reason, but still I need surprises, twists, and turns that you can't see coming. This book just doesn't really do that. It doesn't really know how to take a break either. It just seems to jump from one bad experience to the next with a severe lack of building to the intense moment.Overall, it's a bit generic and predictable (sometimes very predictable), but it's a good read to pass time. I suppose I can't ask for much since it was a free book for the Kindle.

Title: Source of apprehension, mayhem, and terror...
Review: If you're looking for a well-written, on the edge of your seat read, I highly suggest this novel. I gave it five stars, although I did almost consider giving it four. Not based on the content, but the complexity. I found some parts of the story harder to follow than others, however I believe this strongly depends upon the person who is reading. It will make you think. This novel is scary, full of twists, and is sure to keep you guessing!

Title: Don't you hate those supernatural slasher villains that cannot die and yet ...
Review: "Anyone who sees me must die", says the antagonist of the piece. And he says it over and over. Don't you hate those supernatural slasher villains that cannot die and yet they lack the imagination to say much more than repeating a catch phrase? The premise of the story is okay. David Henry Coleman was a serial killer that killed a lot of people using a chain and a sickle. And then he died. But, then he came back. And then he started killing people again. Not a whole lot different than your average Freddy / Jason / Michael Myers kinda story. The one thing I liked about it was that it was not as predictable as stories like this sometimes are. I thought I had guessed the pecking order of who was going to get slaughtered and when. I did well at guessing who, but not in the right order. There's almost no characterization. Brandon seems to be the main character but through the whole thing we really know nothing about him other than he's a teenager. He rides bikes, pokes around in abandoned hospitals and such and that's about it. There's Jake, a man that does little but run around the abandoned hospital yelling, "you kids get out of here!" And there's a lot of other teenagers with only first names and no discernible personalities. Chapter two is amazingly confusing as the scenes shift rapidly from one teenager to the next and it gets difficult to remember which one we're talking about now and what part of the hospital they're dinking around in.I don't believe A. Lopez Jr. spent any time in rewrites or did any editing on the piece. There are a lot of typos and numerous places where the writing is so poor it's comical. After describing several grizzly murders late in the story, Lopez feels it necessary to inform us that the local police have decided they have a real problem on their hands. Gee, ya think?I was actually debating on giving this three or four stars, but the ending is so poorly constructed I felt like kicking my Kindle across the laundromat where I was reading. It's one of those cop out endings where it all might be a dream or drug induced hallucination - I was so confused by the end. Brandon is going down the hall of a hospital and there's all these dying people coming out of doors for some reason and making bad puns and jokes and then - he wakes up and he's going into the hospital and then this and that happens - and it's all a drug hallucination and he's going into the hospital and - MY GOD just come up with an ending and stay with it! All these false endings did was made me think the whole thing might just be a dream. And that is a weak, tired and trite devise.

Title: Perfect for a late-night read!
Review: I loved this story from beginning to end. Well written, kept me sucked in throughout the whole story. There was hardly a dull moment throughout! Spooky, creepy, realistic, and the ending... well I won't give it away but oh gosh, it was wonderful! I was not expecting that ending. I will say, however, the elevator part of the story really got to me since I'm terrified of elevators, and that tapped right into my fear line! I would highly recommend this story!

Title: Short And ... Abrupt!
Review: This book was a really good read but was too short and left me wanting more. The characters were not as developed as i'd like and the plot, although twisty at times, was not as suspenseful and full of suprises as i hoped it would be. There was no climatic ending, the story just seemed to drop off and end abruptly! There were also a few typos that the editor or author did not catch, they did not subtract from the story though. Bottom line: A great short read if you're bored and don't mind bland horror fiction. Overall, 4 stars because i did like it but really this book should not be classified as horror fiction, just fiction.

Review: This is a slasher novel about a serial killer who likes to haunt and hunt with a sickle and chain on the anniversary of his death. As the haunting is traced from its inception at the death of the serial killer through time, things are sometimes disjointed. The author creates an atmosphere of suspense and terror but thankfully, he doesn't go overboard with gruesome descriptions of the victims. The plot moves quickly but it can be predictable. The Mangler, for example, never tires of repeating his catchphrase: "Anyone who sees me must die!" The characters are shallow - but this is not atypical of this type of fiction. The dreams or hallucinations were a little confusing and the ending was more than unsatisfying, it was just plain baffling. Nonetheless there is continuity, reasonably good editing and an evocative battle between good and evil.
