New York Times bestselling leadsinger of Slipknot and Stone Sour's hilarious trawl through the endless backwaters of human stupidity

Corey Taylor has had it. Had it with the vagaries of human behavior and life in this postmodern digital blanked-out waiting room that passes for a world. Reality TV, awful music, terrible drivers, megamalls, airports, family reunions, bad fashion choices, other people's monstrous children, and badly-behaved "adult" human beings are warping life in the twenty-first century into an often-unbearable endurance test of one's patience, fortitude, and faith. You're Making Me Hate You is a blisteringly funny diatribe that skewers the worst aspects of human behavior with a knowing eye for every excruciating detail, told in the vivid way that only Corey Taylor can.

Like his previous bestselling forays, You're Making Me Hate You is an unflinching glimpse into the mind of Corey Taylor, who spares no one from his seething gaze. Make no mistake: this is not the Corey Taylor you run into at meet-and-greets or in line at the coffee shop. This is not the kind and cuddly guy who kisses babies and takes pictures with your mom while leaving a voicemail for that distant cousin in college. This is not the loveable scamp who can poke just as much fun at himself as he does at the various rubes around him, though to be fair he does save one chapter for a brutal and lacerating self-analysis. This is Corey Motherfucking Taylor. This is the Great Big Mouth. This is that bastard you wonder about when you listen to Slipknot and Stone Sour.

Funny, profane, blasphemous, and above all right on target, You're Making Me Hate You is pure Corey Taylor unleashed, exposing the underbelly of human depravity in all its ragged glory.

Title: Great read! Thanks Corey!
Review: I don't review too many items, but this one was worth the time to type a review. First of all, I don't read too much. I really have to find something that appeals to me and really not all that much does any more. I mainly got this book because a) I like Corey's music and thought I would give this book a chance and b) the title and reviews I saw sounded like it was something I would be interested in. Now, there is nothing in here that hasn't been said before. It's not even about a bunch of facts or figures that have been researched. Nope, it's just about a guy that has a brain and uses it and makes observations that 90+% of the population never even consider. The problem is everyone is too damn busy being a robot all the time to even stop and think about the subjects he covers. We live in a world where society dictates what we do and how we feel and even think. We try to impress people we hate. What sense does that even make? We are too busy with all the mindless crap to even care about things that really matter. People have no control over themselves or their children, and they would rather hate than show a little love. Yep, this is the kind of stuff in this book, and it is the kind of stuff I think of every day and it's almost like he went inside my mind and wrote the exact book I have been writing in my head for the past few years. You're making us hate you people. Stop it and just try a little to care and be more considerate. I mean, we will surely all fall off the wagon and screw up again, but can you at least try?

Title: Very funny!
Review: I love that he's a parent who hates other kids. Even if you disagree with him on certain things, it's all dark humor. Sit back and laugh at yourselves with him.

Title: Corey Taylor is awesome. And so is his book.
Review: Look...Corey Taylor is awesome. His vocals are awesome. His interaction with fans is awesome. And his book is awesome. Not only did I find myself laughing and agreeing with a lot of what he wrote, the conversational style made me feel like we were just sitting down on the patio, smoking cigars one evening, while discussing all the BS in the world. Anyone who takes time to analyze things like airport waiting lines, fashion trends, and how Prince could make a man question his preferences, is A-ok with me. I like that Corey didn't cut himself any slack in this book either. So...I find him to be a brilliant musician, and now a brilliant author. Looking forward to the follow-up to this book.

Title: CMFT is the s***! AWESOME book!
Review: I LOVED the book and I LOVE the man! CMFT is not only an extremely talented music artist he is also a great author! Intelligent, insightful, hilarious and has a gift for calling it as he sees it and does not hold anything back! If you are easily offended this book is NOT for you but if you're not, you will love his wit, sarcasm and insanely funny take on the current state of the human race. I didn't really want it to end- it was that damn entertaining for me!

Title: Really funny read
Review: Definitely insightful and accurate view about those people who aren't the "sharpest knife in the drawer" when it comes to air travel, driving, child rearing, relationships, and just life. Might have liked it a bit better if f%&$ and sh!@ wasn't in every other sentence. 8 hours of listening was just enough time to increase my frequency of dropping the f-bomb if not paying attention. But without the excessive cursing, it might not be quite as humorous. Would definitely read again...but with a swear jar and stack of dollar bills at my side. 😋

Title: I hate you too... but not you because you're cool and wrote the book.
Review: Corey Taylor has a way of making insults seem like compliments. Honestly, the book is spot on genuine pull your heads out of your @** talk. You will read what we are all thinking and only Corey has the nerve (<< I didn't want to say nerve but since I have to follow the 'rules'...blah) say and he does it in a way that will make you laugh and think, something difficult for most knuckle draggers. I do not recommend this book to people who get offended by honesty, or people who really think 1 plus 1 equals 3. Seriously, if you're IQ matches the notches on your belt, don't bother trying to comprehend what this book is meant to tell you; you just won't get it. Reviewer: Toon

Title: If you are not so keen of foul language or satiric comments about life this book may ...
Review: Rating: 9 / 10This book resembles a lot to the first book Corey Taylor wrote, going back to the same style of rambling and mixing the train of thought with his personal experiences. Disclaimer: If you are not so keen of foul language or satiric comments about life this book may not be for you.Without giving spoilers, this book contemplates situations in which you feel hatred and/or disappointment from the human race, and contemplates different scenarios such as Fashion, Airports, Kids, Driving, etc. Most of the scenarios you are going to feel identified and give a "I've been there" more than once.On the negative part, sometimes you feel that he is just trying to make the book thicker by adding more rambling. Personally I enjoyed it since it provides a window to the ADD-ridden mind from the writer but some people may find this obnoxious and tiring. If this is the first book you want to buy from Corey Taylor, I recommend you trying the first book before this one, and if you like it just one-click purchase this one!
