Midnight in Savannah...
It’s a city of beauty, history…hauntings. And one of the most haunted places in Savannah is a tavern called The Dragonslayer, built in the 1750s. The current owner, Gus Anderson, is a descendant of the original innkeeper and his pirate brother, Blue.
Gus summons his granddaughter, Abigail, home from Virginia, where she’s studying at the FBI Academy. When she arrives, she’s devastated to find him dead. Murdered. But Abby soon learns that Gus isn’t the only one to meet a brutal and untimely end; there’ve been at least two other victims. Then Captain Blue Anderson starts making ghostly appearances, and the FBI’s paranormal investigation unit, the Krewe of Hunters, sends in Agent Malachi Gordon.
Abby and Malachi have a similar ability to connect with the dead…and a similar stubbornness. Sparks immediately begin to fly - sparks of attraction and discord. But as the death toll rises, they have to trust each other or they, too, might find themselves among the dead haunting old Savannah!

Title: The Night is Alive
Review: For anyone that knows me they know I love Heather Graham's books and while this one is no exception it is also one of my favorites so far. I think all the Krewe books are great and interesting. But this one drew me in more than the others. I loved the backdrop and background she included and the setting was well detailed and described so it almost became its own character in the story. Along with pieces of the history that has taken place in Savannah you could really envision the locations where the story took place. The mystery was intriguing and kept me guessing. I thought the main characters had a great history and development. And watching them learn to trust each other and learn to get along and work together provided a great piece to the story. The secondary characters as well were interesting and some played a key part in the story. Also it was nice to see some of the other Krewe members make an appearance. As I said the mystery was well developed and played perfectly with the setting. We were kept guessing with the characters as to who did it all the way up to the end. And it was definitely a complete surprise. The Krewe books are some of my favorites and I look forward to the next one. Anyone who hasn't read them yet should definitely start. And you can start anywhere with them, while characters might reoccur, the current story is completely contained in each individual book.

Title: Another winner
Review: Quick, easy, enjoyable read. This is another Krewe of Hunters book so we revisit old friends but make some new ones too. Abby (brand new FBI agent) and Malachi (Krewe consultant & PI) work together to find out why Abby's grandfather Gus called her home before he died / was murdered. The story takes place in Savannah where there is a lot of history and a lot of ghosts; some that are friends and others that are not. Jackson, Angela, Kit, and Will show up to help figure out what is going on. The story moved at just the right pace and had enough twists and turns to keep me guessing. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

Title: Fun, but Nothing New
Review: I like these books for the little touches that author Heather Graham throws in. The Supernatural, little mysteries, and the occasionally ghost. This one is no exception.Gus Anderson is the local owner of a popular tavern-The Dragonslayer-and he knows something strange is going on. So, he asks his Granddaughter Abigail to come home and see what she can find. But Gus is killed before Abby can get home, and that's where The Krewe of Hunters come in.The Krewe of Hunter is an elite squad (No, not NYPD detectives...come on, don't you watch Law and Order: SVU?) of FBI agents. They're called in when...there's a little something extra going on with a case. There's usually a ghost, or maybe two, but it's often a very human bad guy that's lurking around. So, anyways Abby has a connection to the dead. The old tavern is haunted by a long dead family ghost, that she can sometimes communicate with. And our hero Malachi Gordon has a few secrets of his own. Together, they work to figure out what really happened to Gus, and who is killing the young women of Savannah. There are a few twists and turns here, but all in all this is a great book for a relaxing day. Nothing new or shocking, but it isn't dull or boring either!

Title: Read Before...Still Loved It!
Review: I read this when it was released and loved the characters, the story and the pace....usually when I re-read a book, I recall everything....not so much with this one. My theory is if I loved it once, I will again...and so it proved!

Title: The Night Is Alive
Review: Another great Krewe of Hunters book by Heather Graham. I've been to Savannah and I loved it there, so reading the history and background, made me want to go back. This one had to do with Pirates, which is also a theme that holds dear to me for personal reasons.I loved the 2 main characters in The Night Is Alive. Malachi and Abby are both strong and compassionate characters. They not only do their jobs well, but you could tell in this story that they also cared deeply for the ghosts that they met.It had the perfect amount of mystery, romance, suspense and action in it. A perfect combination! It was an enjoyable read and as usual I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great mystery novel.

Title: Love the Krewe series!
Review: Another awesome book in the "Krewe of Hunters" series! This story takes place in historic Savannah, Georgia where Gus Anderson owns the historic pub called the DragonSlayer. It has been passed down from generation to generation beginning with the famous pirate Blue Anderson who had a tunnel dug under the pub and out to the river to allow people to be shanghaied and place on ships going to sea. I love these stories by Heather Graham so much! She puts so much history into the story of the surrounding city and I now have a bucket list of all these historic cities that I want to visit! I hope she keeps writing them!Gus' grandaughter, Abbey was pretty much raised by her grandparents after her parents died and she has seen Blue the pirate on different occasisions. At the last of her schooling at the FBI Acadamy she recieves a note from her grandfather requesting her to come home, he needs her. She goes home after graduation and finds him dead in the tunnel below the pub and the pirate is over him. She writes to Jackson Crow to come to investigate because she knows that his Krewe see ghosts and debunk the mystery behind the death of her grandfather and three other tourists within the last couple of weeks.

Title: Predicable beautiful girl, handsome guy and ghosts but good read for a fast easy beach read.
Review: Abigail Anderson owns a old pub eatery in Savannah Ga. She comes back to see her grandfather running the place and he is killed in the old slave tunnels. She starts seeing the ghost of the pub, whom is a old pirate and her ancestor.Blue Anderson tries to give her clues and she is stumped. She calls in a FBI agent in a specialty area, a Krewe of Hunter specialist, that knows the paranormal. Malachi comes to Savannah and quickly the bodies pile up.The book is predictable in the fact that Abigail hates Malachi at first and they clash but end up together after a week. A good , fast paranormal romance book.Typical Heather Graham.
