Title: Great for Elementary Students
Review: My young choir is loving this book. It's a tiny bit harder than the Partner books.

Title: No Reproducible Singer Parts
Review: I took two stars off what should be 5 stars for quality of material. Here's why:As a public school music teacher for many years, I used the Grab a Partner books, which are published by Alfred with a similar musical format. I really enjoyed the arrangements which are a good way to teach part singing to young singers. Now I teach privately and buying music can be expensive, so reproducible materials are a lifesaver!I was excited to see a Christmas edition. I ordered the Teacher's Handbook only because I do not need the accompaniment and performance tracks. Unfortunately, unlike the Grab a Partner books, this does NOT include the student singer parts in the back of the book. There are some really nice arrangements that will work well with my classes BUT I will have to give them the full score. The piano part is a distraction to new choral readers. I am so sad that the singer's parts are not included in the back of the book like their previous partner song books. Now if I want reproducible student parts, it appears that I am also forced to pay for a CD with accompaniment and performance tracks that I do not need.I feel this is an obvious way to fleece the buyer who doesn't need/want the audio tracks. On further searching, I see there's a book with online access to pdf's and tracks ($34 total). That would have been worth it, but frankly don't feel like taking the time to return the one I have and ordered a new one. However, why change what wasn't broken? Oh...the profit margin.

Title: Confusing Title
Review: Unlike the other books in this series, these are mostly NOT partner songs. If you read the subtitle, it specifies that they are 2-part songs, not PART songs... these would take significantly longer to learn both parts than if the songs were true partner songs. The songs are definitely teachable for MS choir and late elementary, but if you are looking for a quick partner song to learn, this is probably not it.
